More on the Orfi - it also depends on whether the dowry was also paid (normally the palty sum of 100LE) bcause this can make it legally binding. The "wife" must return the dowry to the "husband". I agree Beceative that there are many thoughts on whether the Orfi is legal or not but generally it is considered a contract between the couple that gives mutal consent for them the be together in a "married" relationhip. If the green Orfi has been court registered it will need to be annulled by the courts. I have heard the the green Orfi is a recognised marriage document in England but certainly not in Australia. The Egyptian Gvt is trying to ban the Orfi marriage because young Egyptia couples are abusing it for quick sexual relationships more so that the problem of entagling foreign women into "marriages" with not so honest Egyptian men. There are many thoughts on its validity.
