Egyptian man- questions about him

Hi freefall and welcome :)

Before I can offer any advice, I still have some questions for you as I don't have a clear picture of everything. Any specifics you can provide (or feel comfortable providing) would be great.

Where did you meet this man? How did you meet?

Did the relationship progress slowly or quickly? Did he seem to be in a rush to marry?

if the two of you marry, have you discussed where you'd be living?

You say you have no Visa to offer him- i'd just like to clarify for which country- the UAE?

Has he expressed any interest in moving over to the Philippines, where you are now?

You say he has a stable job- does it pay well? What does he do for a living, if you don't mind me asking? Does he have a degree in anything?

I only ask if his job pays well to make sure he wouldn't have any motive to use you financially, but you say you have no money to offer him and he must know this. I wouldn't at this point definitively conclude that marrying him is without risk, but it would seem he is interested in you.

You are not from any of the countries these men typically target in their romance scams- namely the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia- so there's one less thing to worry about.

However, you came on this board for a reason. You must be doubting something. Is it his sincerity? How open with you is he regarding his past? Do you have good, honest communication?

Any age difference between you? Has he been married before?

Does he seem to dodge any questions or act suspect regarding his private life? Is he secretive about anything?

Do you truly, in your heart of hearts, trust this man and his intentions?

Have you met his family? Do they know about you?

How would you describe his personality? Anything about him that makes you feel uncertain or unsafe in any way?

What are his good qualities? His bad qualities (if any)?

Has he in any way alluded to or directly asked you to convert to Islam, or is he fine with you being who you are, the way you are?

Have you discussed religious differences? Kids?

Anything you can elaborate on would be helpful because we don't have a clear picture of this man- all we know is that you have doubts about him.

One thing I can say for sure, it's possible he loves you, yes- but make sure you know this man well, and really trust him- advice I'd give to anyone considering marriage.
