Hello Deidre,

It's every Muslim's wish to emulate the life of their Prophet Mohammad.It's also believed( and I don't concur) that he was born circumcised so every male Muslim is circumcised.Actually,the reason behind the circumcision was a scientific.Unlike today,there was hardly any water in Saudi Arabia and in the Middle East except a few places.Hence,hygiene was pretty dismal.It was observed by the wise--and the Prophet was one of them--that penile cancer or infections can be prevented by circumcision.I hardly think sacrifice was symbolized by circumcision but I could be right or wrong or sacrifice concept was introduced later.Women were circumcised in certain communities and later Islamized nations.There is a very great movement against this ,thankfully.

Be careful and you will be safe and happy.Happiness also has to be deserved.you have not asked for my advice but since you were involved with a Mohammad, I feel all great and loving/and lovable ladies who write here have suffered from abuse or betrayal and that can be prevented.Always be confident about yourself and never "fall" in love ,getting involved anyone - below your station.All women have this quality of giving immense love and forgiving faults by millions.This is not a flaw but this maternal instinct is easily abused,hence this advice.Take it or dump it,it's your choice.
