My Co Worker Met a Moroccan OnlineReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Tina (United States), Aug 9, 2019 at 14:06 I'm doing some research as my co worker has met a Moroccan online who lives in Marrakech. They have been dating for 1 year but have only spent a total of 2 months together in person. There are some red flags and inconsistencies happening that have raised my concern about his genuineness in wanting to be with her and what his motives are. He has a fairly big online presence in Morocco as a sports commentator for BEIN Sports which I feel he uses as smokes and mirrors for his image and makes it look like he has a lot more money then he does. He travels often but when I looked up his name in google I saw he was part of this website called couchsurfing.com which is a website that college kids normally use when they travel to arrange to stay on other people's couches for cheap because they can't afford hotels. He has also said he wants to marry her but from the beginning said he does not want to move to the states as he loves his job and my co worker said she will not move to Morocco. When she told me this I said what is the point of this relationship then? But then he said he wants marriage and children with her? They just went on their third trip together and it was a disaster. He promised her he would propose and never did. He had them sleep in someones basement on 2 separate couches. He leaves her in the basement to visit with his family but doesn't take her and then claims that his family knows about her? She called me crying and I told her to leave and get a hotel but she refused. All she mostly cared about was that he wouldn't cuddle with her or have sex. Every time she tries to talk about a future with him he avoids it. I have done some research and found that in the states a sports commentator makes about $40,000. I found online that the average Moroccan makes about $500-1,000 a month. I'm guessing he has to make about $10,000 a year if that. Then she tells me how he buys all these expensive cloths like $400 sweaters and has them mailed to her house. I'm thinking how does this guy spend this much on cloths when a shirt is like 1 month salary? I asked her how much she thinks he makes and she said at least $70,000! I told her that is very highly unlikely when the average salary is $500! I don't understand what he wants from her exactly as he never asks for money but she does pay for a lot when they travel. He always keeps her on a need to know basis for things even when they travel! He wont tell her where they are staying until 2 weeks before they travel and it is usually with a "friend". He has not asked her for money but makes sure she pays 50/50. He also refuses to talk about his finances with her along with talking about anything personal about his family. She did go visit him in Morocco and he supposedly had her stay with a great aunt but wouldn't let her meet the rest of his family. He claims that he is not religious and neither is his family. I have told her this guy is a piece of shit that doesn't care about her but she is so convinced what they have is unique and that she wouldn't find a connection like the one she has with him. But I'm like how can you have a connection with someone who clearly is not being honest with you and keeps you in the dark with his personal life?! Any advice on how to support her or information on how Moroccan dating tradition or how Moroccans view Americans would be helpful. I'm willing to even give out his full name to gather information on this guy because I just know he is up to no good and probably scamming other women around the world as well.
