Wow, just when I thought I couldn't read any worse stories here. It sounds like the jerk has her brainwashed, like my husband did me. She's not stupid, he just managed to convince her he was the best thing that ever happened to her, romanced her, and used "white privilege," probably, to guilt her into wanting to help him. These guys know how to manipulate very well, they are expert con artists. Honestly, I don't know what to tell you. I don't see how he can possibly do the things he said he could, but he can make your daughter's life a living hell (which it sounds like he's doing already). He has also isolated her from her family, and probably her friends. Are you in any way financially responsible for her? Paying her tuition? Whatever you're paying for, stop. Once he has to pay for things, he will move on. He is only with her for what he can get out of her. Do you know where he is going to school? Blackmail is a crime. You need to get law enforcement involved to see what you can do. Please keep us posted.
