To add to that... you will see what he does and/or how he acts around the girl he really wants. If your habibi isn't making an effort, don't question it - it is what it is. He's not making an effort because he doesn't plan to stick around too long. He isn't taking you out because he doesn't want to spend money that could be saved for his own future. Yes, many are poor but effort isn't always expensive.

That creepy guy that offers to pay your bills and writes you poems - that's how guys act when they really want a woman. To the point of annoyance, unless you like them back.

I know it's difficult to hear this, but the only thing that got me to open my eyes was the cold, hard truth. And the colder the better. A Coptic Egyptian man told me they see us as donkeys carrying them over to a better life. At the time I thought well shi* then that's harsh lol. But when you really look at what they're doing to you, that's when you realise just how messed up it is.
