to faqiReader comment on item: What is Jihad? Submitted by tariq (United Arab Emirates), Mar 13, 2006 at 09:28 "In the past like at present plenty of scholars, philosophers, writers, thinkers and statesmen have warned us about the dangers of Islam."Dangers of a peaceful religion? "It is up to us to to let our elected Politicians know all of the hidden perils and the oncoming catastrophe, which will occur by allowing uncontrolled immigration of Muslims to settle in Western nations." What about the "hidden perils and the oncoming catastrophe" of the WMDs tht USA has? "Its pure lunacy literally to allow Muslims in such large numbers to live in the West." Christians say that their religion is tolerant. so u are not a christian. "This will eventually may prove to be the undoing and the destruction of our civilization, if no one takes heed to reverse this policy." So u want to destroy muslims in advance? "What legacy are we going to leave our children and our children's children? Is it going to be continuous conflict, hatred and even civil wars?" change your foreign policies then. "On a strictly moral plane, Islam has very little to recommend it." learn Islam first. " Islam is barbaric to its core" Wrong. its peaceful. your brain is corrupted to the last neuron "and vile in it's ideology" Quote a verse "On the cultural plane, it is ridiculously backward," everything seems backward to backward people. ...bigoted," read and understand the Quran. "...childish" Then why is it that no1 can come up with a similar book? " and hateful." Which verse preaches hate? "On the political plane it is a cancer which threatens Europe and the world." Actually the Christian world is a cancer. Islam is the Cure. "John Wesley had this to say of Islam " Ever since the religion of Islam appeared in the world, the espousers of it...have been as wolves and tigers to all other nations, rending and tearing all that fell into their merciless paws, and grinding them with their iron teeth; that numberless cities are raised from the foundation, and only their name remaining; that many countries, which were once as the garden of God, are now a desolate wilderness; and that so many once numerous and powerful nations are vanished from the earth! Such was, and is at this day, the rage, the fury, the revenge, of these destroyers of human kind"" John Wesley has this in common with u: Both are ignorant about Islam. "or Alexis de Tocqueville "I studied the Kuran a great deal ... I came away from that study with the conviction that by and large there have been few religions in the world as deadly to men as that of Muhammed. As far as I can see, it is the principal cause of the decadence so visible today in the Muslim world, and, though less absurd than the polytheism of old, its social and political tendencies are in my opinion infinitely more to be feared, and I therefore regard it as a form of decadence rather than a form of progress in relation to paganism itself."" He studied the Quran? in which language? did he even open the book, or did he just read lies from ppl like ali sina? How came Alexis de Tocqueville does not know how to spell the word Quran? "G.K. Chesterton writing more than a century ago: There is in Islam a paradox which is perhaps a permanent menace. The great creed born in the desert creates a kind of ecstasy of the very emptiness of its own land, and even, one may say, out of the emptiness of its own theology. . . . A void is made in the heart of Islam which has to be filled up again and again by a mere repetition of the revolution that founded it. There are no sacraments; the only thing that can happen is a sort of apocalypse, as unique as the end of the world; so the apocalypse can only be repeated and the world end again and again. There are no priests; and yet this equality can only breed a multitude if lawless prophets almost as numerous as priests. The very dogma that there is only one Mahomet produces an endless procession of Mahomets." Clearly G.K. Chesterton wants us to know that like Alexis de Tocqueville and John Wesley he is also very ignorant about Islam. "The essential and definite element of my conversion to Islam was the Qur'an. I began to study it before my conversion with the critical spirit of a Western intellectual... There are certain verses of this book, the Qur'an, revealed more than thirteen centuries ago, which teach exactly the same notions as the most modern scientific researches do. This definitely converted me." (Ali Selman Benoist, France, Doctor of Medicine) "I have read the Sacred Scriptures of every religion; nowhere have I found what I encountered in Islam: perfection. The Holy Qur'an, compared to any other scripture I have read, is like the Sun compared to that of a match. I firmly believe that anybody who reads the Word of Allah with a mind that is not completely closed to Truth, will become a Muslim." (Saifuddin Dirk Walter Mosig) "It (Islam) replaced monkishness by manliness. It gives hope to the slave, brotherhood to mankind, and recognition of the fundamental facts of human nature." --Canon Taylor, Paper read before the Church Congress at Walverhamton, Oct. 7, 1887; Quoted by Arnoud in THE PREACHING OF ISLAM, pp. 71-72. "If a man like Muhammed were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness." George Bernard Shaw " Professor Yushudi Kusan: Director of the Tokyo Observatory, "I can say, I am very mush impressed by finding true astronomical facts in the Qur'aan" George W. Bush: "It's [the Qur'an is] a very thoughtful gift." On 26 September 2001, President George W. Bush held a substantive meeting with American Muslim leaders, and said that "the teachings of Islam are the teachings of peace and good." During this meeting, Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, President of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), presented a copy of the Holy Qur'an to President Bush. During a brief press conference after the meeting, the President expressed his pleasure saying: And I want to thank you very much for the-the gift you gave me, Imam, the Koran. It's a very thoughtful gift. I say, "Thank you very much for the gift." He said, "It's the best gift I could give you, Mr. President." I appreciate that very much. On September 17, 2001, President Bush visited the Washington Islam Center mosque, one of the oldest in the United States. In his speech, he emphasized that Islam is a religion of peace and that the terrorist attacks of 9/11 have nothing to do with the teachings of Islam or the sincere Muslims of the world, all of whom deplore terrorism. Bush stated that those who inflict harm on innocent and civilian Muslims are just as in the wrong as those who carry out terrorist attacks. At this crowded meeting, covered live by a large number of domestic and international television stations, President Bush read the following verse from the Qur'an: "In the long run, evil in the extreme will be the end of those who do evil. For that they rejected the signs of Allah and held them up to ridicule." (Qur'an, 30:10) (http://www.ama-nj.org/bush_meeting.html) "The majority of the Muslim immigrants to the west have no desire to belong to, or become a part of the countries whose generosity have given them the privilege to live with dignity as human beings" Opinions,Opinions,Opinions. write facts. "This is why we find that such crimes as counterfeiting ,embezzlement & rape are rife among Muslims in the west" Quote the source. "The most serious thing to observe is that a Muslim who resorts to counterfeiting and embezzlement does not experience any pangs of conscience,..." Aparently you are one of the X-men. u have this strange ability to know wot people feel. "and is not deterred by any moral or religious impulse" u are a mutant? "On the contrary, he considers these countries that had opened their doors to welcome him, as lands of the Infidel; thus he has the right to commit such crimes within their borders" X-man "explanation of this is called Takiya which means deception or concealing and disguising one's beliefs and intentions to fool the adversary. According to Muhammad all forbidden things become permissible if they are to be used for the advancement of Islam. So Muslims can lie, steal, murder and rape with complete clear conscience because they are convinced of doing the right thing." Like i said. u are ignorant. and its not takiya. its Taqqiyya(yes there is a difference). Also it is a shia concept, not an Islamic concept. Muhammad(P) never taught taqqiyya. infact it is forbidden in Islam. Even the shia concept is milder than wot u think taqqiyya allows. "Many a European Muslims while living in the country that has admitted them, given him social security, housing and looked after his children by providing them with food and free medicine; yet at the same time," Not to mention rapes, sexual abuses, discrimination, hate crimes and other 'goodies'. oh and dont forget intolerant and hostile acts of hypocrisy. eg the cartoons published. "he goes on bragging that he owes no allegiance to such a country, on the pretext that it is a non-Islamic land" Finally uspeak of jihad, but barely 25 words. and all that also showing your complete ignorance about Islam. My question to you: wot does jihad mean literally? "But foreigners passing through Arab and Muslim lands are expected to show respect for their traditions and culture" Looking at your comments full of intolerance and ignorance, not to mention your perfect track record in it shown by your western friends, i dont expect u to show any respect "Is it then too much to expect a Muslim seeking European citizenship to show more respect for the traditions of the societies that have given him shelter?" No. its not. anyways will you give shelter to muslims who die becasue christians are bent on using weapons against them, and supplying it to other coutries for the same purpose, while denying muslims their right to weapons? I have advice for u: first study Islam and then write. Dont show how ignorant you are. i already know.
