my fiance is a turkish muslim man. he has been in america for 6 years and is finishing up a divorce. he admitted to me that he married his first wife only to get his green card but has been very honest with me about everything in his past.

we have a child together obviously out of wedlock, yet his family back in turkey accepts our relationship. his parents take their religion very seriously and to a turkish man family is everything, though even if his family did not accept us, i know we would still be happily together. this man has treated me better that any person i have ever met. he is respectful, kind, very generous, loving, romantic, thoughtful, perfect. to everyone claiming that muslim men are hard to be married to or will not accept a woman for whatever specific reason. i think you have it wrong. its the man you are describing, not his religion. look at the "christians" of america. they range from the holiest of church leaders who never sin to drug dealing murderers who pray for their lives and could confess 50 sins a day. ever think maybe you just married a jerk and he or you are using his religion as a prop for denial?
