Cologne/Koln Mosque to Soar >180 Feet Above W. Europe's Key Cities

In the most Western of Western European cities, and in the shadow of the Koln Cathedral, the muslim community of Europe has collected $40 million to build the largest mosque on the continent West of the Hagia Sophia. (Could such a mammoth undertaking be built elsewhere for a mere $40MM?)

The development seems to be a large window on whether Europe will allow the Koln region's 120,000+ muslims a decent place to worship, comparable to the Koln Cathedral, or if the "nasty Germans" will exert their prejudices against the innocent and harassed muslims who do all of the menial labor in the West.
