Europe's Dark Heart, Rationalized and Turned Against Itself, Brings Misfortune to all Western Civilization -- Like a Virus from Outer SpaceReader comment on item: Europe or Eurabia? Submitted by Sofa Sogood (United States), Apr 20, 2008 at 12:28 In deference to the sad fact that "Europeans no longer cherish [what's great about] their history, mores and customs," and that their [well deserved] "guilt about fascism, racism and imperialism leave many with a sense that [the best parts of] their own culture has less value than that of [the negative and destructive values of the culture of certain] immigrants;" and the fact that they are incapable of sorting out the differences between good and not good or bad, I qualify my comment. This is my angry rave at Europe. Yes, it's an emotional vent. I've read the various logical and rational, positive answer-seeking comments here, analyzing, suggesting and wondering, and admire and agree with much. Still there is an anger which, of course, is negative and no answer, but nevertheless exists and calls for expression: European hatred in the last 63 years has taken several shapes. Prior to this period, they caused wars amongst themselves; then the U.S. helped -- it can be said, even saved them, then helped them to rebuild, and protected them from Soviet domination. Their response was to hate America -- to absurdly relativize American economic strength with Soviet domination even as they watched the USSR devour Eastern Europe. No matter what excuses and rationalizations they give -- Europeans, while in denial of their uninhibited and unexamined jealous impulses, have hated America because of its success. They've demanded an impossible perfection -- accused America of what it is not, and in order to confront and overcome this American phantom created in their minds, they have sold out their own culture and future (in the form of a Eurabian "trading bloc"). In addition, they are now selling their independence to the Russians via Gas, for one. They will sell the rest of their independence to the Chinese soon, or any other clear aggressor, all to extricate themselves from the influence of America, which did nothing to them but build them up, and pay for their protection so that they could grow economically and have their over-indulgent welfare programs. Of course, while America helped build them up, they would have preferred that help to have been at the cost of detriment to America's economic standing. That America also gained as it built them up is a crime they can't forgive. Aside from never learning that appeasement always leads to more terrible violence, and additionally leaves them more vulnerable to loss, they've never learned to stand by their true allies. Instead they betray the U.S. as they have in the past betrayed each other. Loyalty is not part of their vocabulary. They never learned that what they brought upon themselves as a result of accusing the Jews of causing the Black Plague and poisoning the wells, was the Inquisition. Or that their acceptance of the fraudulent Protocols of the Elders of Zion and their absurd belief in Jewish world domination brought them Hitler. They are incapable of seeing the difference between their vicious Jew Hatred, which was brought about by sheer fantasized fears and jealousies -- and the myriad genuine threats that they are in reality facing from huge immigrant populations with large percentages of hostile Radical Muslims who will soon outnumber them in the voting booths. They pat themselves on the back for their present "superior" multiculturalism which they tell themselves means they've overcome their hateful racist urges -- regarding Muslims -- while they simply have transferred and rationalized their very traditional, and apparently addictive and seductive Jew Hatred, to Israel. Deep in their hearts they want to disband NATO -- just to finally be rid of the Americans. And while they follow their urges in that direction -- while Putin and the Russians are salivating over the coming political control they will have over Western Europe, they ignore and give blessings to Iranian nuclear dreams -- and Iranian dreams of regional supremacy in the Middle East, which will lead to putting the Europeans themselves under the Iranian Islamist thumb as well. Unlikely as it ever would be, should they at some point decide they'd prefer to "expel" or otherwise exert pressure on Radical Muslims in their midst, the Islamic world will not allow it and will have the bombs to back that up. Busy indulging their fantasies of multi-culti paradise, they will have nothing to protect themselves with -- and no U.S. this time to save them -- for they will have succeeded at alienating America, and will have contributed to the inevitable ensuing diminishment of American power -- the benign American power -- while they voluntarily enabled the rise of the very same malignant powers which will be used against themselves. They smirk and snear at America's blunder in supporting the Mujahadeen and Osama Bin Ladin's Al Queda against the Soviets, which then turned on the U.S. (a failure of U.S. Intelligence, but not so very plain or easy to see coming), while they have been and are literally being hit over the head with clear warnings which Europe deliberately and smugly ignores. While all too often and ever increasingly, the behavior of our U.S. Bureaucracy is blind and willfully obtuse, the irrationality of Europeans has already reached collosal magnitudes of unbelievable proportions -- and continues to gather momentum without pause. So much charm -- charming architecture, charming culture, art, music, such excellent and refined taste, so much history -- horrific but also great magnificent history -- legal codes and philosophy which took centuries to develop -- will all be lost and gone forever, swallowed by the Shari'a -- mental darkness and black burkhas. (I can't help but wonder sometimes how much further along, more prosperous and innovative Europe would have been on all fronts had they not killed off their Jews -- (perhaps they wouldn't have needed to import the millions of Muslims who will soon outnumber them and vote their democracies out of existence (oh, I forgot, they are allowing the EU to do that now without any voting)) -- all the advances in science and medicine which have been made by Israel would have belonged to Europe -- not to mention the loss of diversity in the arts. They literally traded peaceful, productive, creative Jews who were prone to increasingly assimilate -- for the many Muslims whose radical and strict interpretation of their religion demands that Islam take over and dominate, whether through violence or other means. That's their exchange and prize for killing off their Jews. And they can't see it.) (They see the opposite -- a false, delusional redemption.) They could believe in the silly grim tale of the Protocols and the like (and many still do), but can't believe in what they see, hear and experience before their eyes and ears every day. What a great, great, pity. We are all truly on the precipice of one of the saddest moments in human history. They don't see that the same unreason which allows them to ignore reality and history, and come to the conclusion that Israel is the demon aggressor, and is therefore obliged to arm and provide the means for Palestinians to fulfill their often repeated and desired aim to destroy Israel -- is the very same unreason which is causing the suicide and demise of their own culture. They refuse to see that quick on the heels of the destruction of Israel, will be their own -- one way or another. Once Israel is gone and no longer the receptor of that magnitude of hate that has built up (with plenty of help and support from the Europeans), what do they suppose their beloved "We are all Hezbollah Now", Hamas, Fatah and the rest will do with all that excess murderous energy? With the exhilarating taste of triumph, what will the next step be for the "leaders" who wish to keep their millions focused and loyal to the "cause?" Build a sweet civil society in Palestine? History has shown that Arab culture -- and thus it can be related to Islamist culture -- respects above all, power, strength and the victor. Prior to the debacle in Iraq, just after Saddam was deposed, there was respect for American power. That "respect" reins in their ambitions. Should Iran's nuclear facilities and perhaps seat of government be bombed, for instance, a hush would ensue in the Jihadi movement. Their "triumphalist" rants would be short circuited, and perhaps the loss of momentum would have some lasting effect. There is the risk that this action would incite further terrorism, but the opposite is more likely -- at least for a while. Perhaps Iranians would then elect a sane government, which would bring great beneficial change for the world. But, it is not the Islamists who would raise the loudest objections. Should that bombing occur, it will be the self-destructive and American-hating, Europeans. Of course, they will refuse to acknowledge that it is their own greed and reluctance to heavily sanction Iran which brought the brink to violence; and while Islamists may be in shock and quietly contemplating a next move or not, it is the Europeans and their Press who will march, wave hate banners, provoke and encourage Islamists to seek retribution for American defensive action against Iran, just as they have provoked and encouraged the assault on Israel by supporting the Jihad against it, and just as they support Al-Queda and Sadr, etc., in Iraq now. By themselves, World Islamism could never have amassed the destructive influence they now have. It is Europe's encouragement that has brought about all the misfortunes of our current age -- (aside from the initial British greed, treachery and ineptitude in the set up, borders and leadership of Arab nations) -- all because of their jealousy of American success. It was George Bush's awkward rhetoric, rather than the actual invasion of Iraq, that gave Europeans the excuse they were waiting for to turn their backs on the U.S. They finally had their "cowboy." Yes, they were waiting for it -- for an excuse to express their contempt. U.S. politicians and current Presidential candidates blame it all on Bush's inability to achieve concensus. They believe "good diplomacy" will change things. They are wrong. The cat is out of the bag -- there will be no real cooperation -- only demands for a perceived weakened America's concessions to the misguided will of the Europeans -- whatever is now or will be left of them that can be called European by the end of the coming decade of our next Presidency. Yes, there are a few seeming voices of reason -- Sarkozy and Burlusconi -- supposedly Pro-American and Pro-Israeli. But they are already deeply embroiled in a system which has been entrenched for many, many years, and they are beholden to the opinions of their electorate, other European nations, and the European Press. How far into reasonableness will they be allowed to venture? How long will they remain in office? How much can they accomplish at this late date? In Europe, there is a self-annihiliating, self-deceptive, twisted, vile, unclean form of insidious mindlessness and irrationality -- that, as far as I know, has never been seen in a civilization's behavior before. It's like a virus from outer space. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
