Nura: On suicidal hypocrisyReader comment on item: Europe or Eurabia? Submitted by Plato (India), May 18, 2008 at 00:46 Nura, you wrote: >>Islam does not encourage suicide!! You use that passage as proof!!IT IS A CHALLENGE, Plato. Allah is telling the disbeliever that they will never be able to defeat the Prophet(PBUH).<< If you challenge someone to do something is it not encouragement? Don't people take up challenges all the time. The poor man may be tempted to take up Allah on his challenge and see what happens after he dies. 9:111 is also proof of Allah's desire to see His creatures fight and kill each other. What other construction can you put on the verse? This verse is proof of Allah encouraging people to murder and also to commit suicide (you read every now and then of suicide bombers who are encouraged by verses that promise everlasting pleasures in Allah's paradise). The challenge from Allah does not make any sense. Why would an all-powerful deity make a silly challenge like that (asking disbelievers to stretch their necks with a rope?). All He has to do is tear out the soul of the disbeliever and bring him before Him and show him who is who and what is what. >>He then goes on to say in so many words If you don't like it then kill yourself if you think that will cure your anger!!! So what is Allah's problem. He is claims to be the most powerful being, why is He asking disbelievers to hang themselves? < Allah also claims He knew what awaited them even before he created them. So why did He create them to annoy His most favourite person? He wanted to needle the prophet did He not? You call this a wonderful ayat. I see it as a demonstration of Allah's hypocrisy. >>There are many versus on Jihad in the Quran because the Quran is complete. It has also rules of inheritance, diet, manners, and relationships between spouses.<< We are aware of this claim to the Koran being complete. Apart from matters of diet, manners etc. it also blithely talks of freeing slaves to win Allah's favour. This means that Allah in His book for all time is accepting that slavery is okay for all time. This eternal book tells Muslim husbands they can thrash their wives if they suspect they will be disobedient. 004.034 YUSUFALI: …... As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly);… Just the fear that wives will be disobedient is enough to give men the authority to thrash them (the lightly does not exist in the Arabic version, I am told). You are a woman. Even if Allah-forbid, your husband is not the thrashing type, after reading this verse will you be comfortable with your husband >>It is for this very reason why we don't need secularism. We have all we need in one religion.<< Really? A religion that does not proscribe slavery as abhorrent in the creator's eyes, a religion that allows men to thrash their wives on mere suspicion of rebellion is what we most certainly don't need, least of all the women of this world. >> It must speak of war if it is the true guidance of God. Life is War.<< Infidels are all aware that the Koran is really a manual of war. It advises them how to conduct war in several places. It even tells Muslims that each of them is equal to five infidels in one place and then backtracks it and makes them equal to two infidels in the very next verse (8:65 and 8:66). A very quick and drastic correction by Allah of his eternal word. >> The reward for dying in the cause of Allah is great.<< Would you care to tell us what this cause of Allah is for which Muslims must sacrifice their lives and earn the all-powerful Allah's gratitude? Could it be just accepting that He is the greatest and the only power in the universe? >>What is a greater sacrifice than your life? The greatest sacrifice should have the greatest reward.<< There is no greater sacrifice than one's life but the question is what is the cause for which you are sacrificing it and the cost others pay for this sacrifice for which you win Allah's gratitude. >>What, it is better to die in war for your country or a cause that you may not believe in? The hypocrisy is AMAZING.<< I have no clue to the meaning of this statement. No one will die for a cause they do not believe in UNLESS they believe that they will be rewarded in the afterlife for dying uselessly in this life. That surely would be the most amazing hypocrisy.
