An old caricature - a Turk sitting on a heap of kafirs' skulls and preaching : "Peace at yurt, peace at world"Reader comment on item: Does Turkey Still Belong in NATO? Submitted by Ianus (Poland), Apr 23, 2009 at 06:53 BERK AKK wrote : > Vatan, yurt(earth) ,land or country all are similiar terms for human beings.< Not really. For a farmer it's a land to care, cultivate, guard and produce wealth from. For a nomadic Turkish robber it's just a hunting ground for racketing or killing the farmers, stealing his wealth, raping and abducting his women, Islamizing the robbed children, changing the fields into wasteland for nomads' herds. The fact that your Seljuk and Ottoman ancestors looked like humans doesn't necessarily make them so. Hawks are birds just like pigeons but which pigeon would preach unity of birds, solidarity of avifauna ? > But Yurt in origininaly turkish means earth (as read in english), < Are you implying that according to you "earth" is of Turkic origin , just like Niagara "is" according to Ataturk ? > as it has in english means "all world ".< The encyclopedia of the Tukish language specifies eleven meanings of this word. http://ansiklopedi.turkcebilgi.com/yurt The most relevant are the last two where the original meaning has been preserved despite Ataturk's re-making of the Turkish language. "10 . halk ağzında Yörüklerin yazın veya kışın oturdukları yer. 11 . Göçebe Türklerin oturduğu çadır." Roughly "10. The groud on which Turkic nomads sojourn in summer or winter 11/ a tent of Turkic nomads" > But that doesn mean yurt only owned by turkish nation< "Turkish nation" is Kemal's invention. Turkey has always been a conglomerate of tribes, clans, ethnic and religious groups. His decreed all who live in Turkey - Kurds, Circasians, Laz , Bosniaks etec. etc. would be from then on Turks. Forcing people to adopt Turkish names was one of many ways to deprive people of their identity and Turkify them. For the nomad yurt changed every time he moved with his herds and no feeling of attachment similar to that developed among sedentary population has taken root in him. He felt yurt was equally his on the Syr Darya, in Anatolian steppes or in Thessaly where the Yuruk nomads were moved in the 14th. century. > but it is owned by humanity.< It's very dangerous to have a nomad's yurts in the vicinity of farmland. The result is devastation of the latter and the expansion of the former. > In short no borders. < The predatory nomad's old dream. I remember how the nomad Kazakhs reacted when the Russian-Chinese was erected and fortified. The nomads's raids into the Russian territory came to an end and it provoked their anger and complains. > Remants of preislamic turkish religions still live in anatolia public which gives peace terms and makes a distinct to some arabic way of understanding islam...< I see .... The Arabic way of understanding Islam is wrong, while the Turkish way -because it relies on its ancient nomadic traditions - is good and peaceful ? ... Oh, isn't it a new way of saying Turks are wolves in sheep's clothing while Arabs are wolves in wolves' clothing and hence the Turks are for peace and teh Arabs are for war ? > In my personal beliefs i totaly agree in that term of yurt and one day i hope all humans lives without national borders in the earth. < It would be the end of humanity. In Western Europe when the boders were controlled, one could leave his or her home or car open and nobody would enter. With the advent of open borders widespread criminality makes previous life look liek a fairy tale. But I was told the same story in many countries in Europe. In Germany they complained particularly about the Turks and their parasitic ways. So first improve your crooked ways and then think of opening borders for every jihadist from dar al-Islam. > I can foresee one day will hapen .Unfortunately wars happend between many nations in history and even continuing today.< See Northern Cyprus e.g. - total barbarization and devastation of the Hellenic millenia-old past by Turkish beasts of prey and a sweet Turk on Dr. Pipes' Forum preaches opening the border to Southern Cyprus for Turks to continue the unholy work done in the North... > It is wery interesting that your not rejecting savagaries .< It was easy to foresee that you'll reject Turkish savageries and that when confronted with hard evidence will take recourse to what you're writing now - smoke screens or 'soft soap' in English. > is it so difucult to accept my claim? < It's irrational to accept anything without proof. Skepticism in a police state like your Ataturkestan is a dangerous heresy. But it is the only way to react against stultifying dogmatism and its poisonous effects. > Isnot it good for you Let me add : 'For no one in his or her senses'. >osman durmus rejected greek blood (which i read first time from you) You Turks are no nation of readers, let alone of thinkers. But "believers" you are ad nauseam!!! And when you meet someone who doesn't share your nonsensical national Islamic dogmas, then you turn and twist to avoid looking at the mirror pressed to your eyes and seeing your own abject irrationality and ugliness. > so that hundreds of injured turkish kids died so a posible danger is eliminated and world not corrupted?< I read somewhere the adage : "A society of sheep will in time necessarily produce a government of wolves". I thought at once about you Turks. You're barinwashed sheep led by a gang of ruthless wolves. You take comfort and pride that they slaughter the sheep that don't belong to the foreign herd. But here and there you're forced to see the best lambs from your won herd are willingly sacrificed as well. > I protest you by stoping my writings because i believe i did not deserved to be insulted by your "beast" term< Do you identify yourself with your ancestors' jihadist criminal past and the present ruling Turkish caste's aims and methods which are nothing but the continuation of the old ways with new means? If you do - which I am sure you do (you haven't faced a single point I have raised but instead are jumping away from them) - , then don't feel insulted at all. I understand "insult" as something one doesn't deserve. When a criminal gets his jail sentence and a curse , has he got a right to feel insulted? It's an allegory for Turkishness , if you wish! > that ATATURK teached us "PEACE AT YURT PEACE AT WORLD"...< Once again the caricature comes to my mind which you can read in the title above. Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha is responsible for at least 1 000 000 Greek and Armenian corpses. Can you imagine a mountain of 1000 000 corpses ? How tall would it it if all the dispersed , burnt, decapitated people murdered by him and his Ottoman hangmen in Pontus, Ionia, Cappadocia , Cilicia end elsewhere were put in one place - near your home e.g. ? Try to calculate assuimg that c. 15 corpses make 1 m3 !... Now sitting on this mountain of skulls and bones Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha announces his ayat : "PEACE AT YURT PEACE AT WORLD"... Peace announced by one of the worst - because the most successful- war criminals of the last century. > I hope one day you vomit hates you grow up in your soul and stop insulting your human brothers.< I hope humans will use their brains first, develop skills of critical thinking , consider the points I have raised , face the hard reality and stop insulting other people's intelligence by implying their own higher morality insulted by logic, evidence and reality. Those who will not do the above will never be my friends, let alone brothers, as looting nomads have never been friends, let alone brothers, of sedentary farmers.
