Those who get bribed for denying the Armenian genocide and those who get bribed for not mentioning it at allReader comment on item: Does Turkey Still Belong in NATO? Submitted by Ianus (Poland), Jul 30, 2012 at 14:50 Hi, dear dhimmi no more ! > It is just amazing that the Turks spend so much money on their propagandists the likes of Facts/Veritas and so the called "scholars" here in the US that deny the obvious and that there was indeed such crime as the Armenian Genocide < Paying those who deny the obvious is just one thing the Turks do. The other thing they have learned in the meantime to do is to engage and bribe seemingly respectable scholars not to mention the genocides perpetrated by the Turks at all. Those "scholars" are encouraged to write about Ataturk according to the official Turkish hagiography , his reforms, his alleged Wesernism, secularism etc. etc. and never ever mention the genocides he perpetrated or covered up. I guess you would be surprised if you knew who belonged to "the America Turkish Council" - a Turkish bribing machine in the US where practically everything/body which is worth bribing in America is present. Just take a look at its Wikipedia article to see of whom they boast as having as a former board member ! > and i do suspect that it would be much cheaper for them to tell the world that there was indeed such genocide and to beg for a mea culpa and then move on. But I suspect that the Turks that deny such crime are no more than brain-washed psychopaths and no more.< I am afraid you are wrong. If they admitted their crimes they would be confronted immediately with all devastating legal consequences and given the fact that Turkey is essentially a crime nation this would mean the end to Turkey. They fear that like hell and bribing Americans is therefore not so expensive as leaving the possibility of legally attacking Turkey open. And in fact it is much cheaper than it might otherwise seem to be. First ,frustrating all efforts to recognize the Armenian genocide in the US (and Israel) is just one effect of winning the hearts and minds of the powers that be in America. but there a larger system at work here called the Turkish lobby which works overtly and covertly. The system works this way ; there are in it " three major elements: the purchasing of a few 'dime a dozen generals,' bidding high in the auctioning of 'former statesmen,' and buying one or two ex-congressmen turned lobbyists. In addition, the piece emphasized the importance of the "Military Industrial Complex (MIC)," which became a de facto 'foreign agent' by the universally recognized principle of 'mutual benefit.' " To learn more details I'd like to encourage you to take a look at Sibel Edmonds' revealing article "The hijacking of a nation Part 2: The Auctioning of Former Statesmen & Dime a Dozen Generals" or if you can spare an few hours take a look at her depositions from August 2009. You will understand why her reports were suppressed by the 9/11 Commission and why she was fired from the FBI Translation Unit and then silenced with gag orders and an obsolete law called "State Secrets Privelege" by the Deprtment of Justice not to allow the public to realize all the ugly depth of the worm box alled the US-Turkish relations. Note also that after you give an initial high bribe to anybody you need , your next bribe can be as a rule much lower. The excuse is simple enough. "You know we have difficulties and if you are not satisfied with less money, you know thinsg happen and many peevish journalists would be happy to learn about your accepting our bribe...." It is how the bribe industry works. Hillalry Clinton , who once upon a time declared herself to be a spirited defender of the cause of the Armenian genocide when the push came to shove, changed her mind which was highly appreciated by the Turkish side. She relied in promoting her career upon Mehmet Celebi , a notorious Turkish "businessman" and co-sponsor of the rabidly anti-American movie "The valley of the Wolves" who had worked in high positions for the Turkish American Cultural Association and the Assembly of Turkish American Associations which had happened to be "targets of an FBI counter-intelligence operation investigating the corruption and bribery of high-level US officials from 1997 onward." The Celebi family in Turkey has been involved in arms- and narcotics-dealing. But we know that money doesn't stink and as one author here tried to persuade me it all depends on how you use the dirty money once they are in your hands. Well, investing it in making a brilliant political career must be the best washing powder for any money accoring to this interpretation. Another glaring example that comes to my mind is Bob Livingstone, a former Republcian congressman from Louisiana, who blocked "Congressional resolutions condemning the Armenian slaughter as genocide, in 2000, 2004 and 2007 was thanks to their heavy financial contributions to key Congressional voters. Between 2000 and 2004, Livingston gave $503,449 in political contributions. In the last election cycle, he gave more than $200,000 in campaign donations while receiving more than $12 million from Turkey." No doubt he also thinks that the best way to make stinking money fragrant is to allocate them onto his own bank account. >I think that it is also a shame that Obama promised that he will recognize the Armenian Genocide if he was to win the last election but I guess some one is a liar here.< Well, I suppose that he didn't realize the depth of the Turkish infiltration and bribery of the US power elite. When he realized it was too late and he had to just forget his promise. If Romney is elected president, he will do the same. The US system is too rotten to be reform by putting inside a clean person. > It is just amazing the amount of literary information that one can find in the Arabic literary sources of the time about this crime. < That's extremely interesting. I have never heard of the Arabic sources concerning the Armenian genocide. Can you name a few ? Are there any Arabic sources on the Greek genocide perpetrated by Kemal himself too? Speaking of various sources on the Armenian genocide , I have just come across an interesting Dutch source "Martling der Armeniers in Turkije naar berichten van oggentuiggen - Uitgegeven van het nederlandsch Comite tot hulpbeton ann de noodlijdende Armeniers Haarlem 1918 " ( "Martyrdom of the Armenians in Turkey - according to eywitness reports published by the Dutch Committee of Assitance for the suffering Armenians Haarlem 1918) where we read i.al. p.4-5 : "From the deported mass some estimated 800 000 perished through systematic massacres and hunger. The rest of the Armenians is a nation of hungry beggars, consisting mainly of the elderly, older women and children. On the outskirts of the desert of Mesopotamia large groups of these wretched people have been crammed into concetration camps where hunger and disease complete the unfinished work of the Turkish weapons; others are distributed among Moslem villages where they live their miserable life as beggars. The number of still living Armenians must be estimated as some 300 000 -400 000 souls , whereto some 200 000 women, girls and children must be added who have been forcibly converted to Islam. The number of children that got lost underway or were left in caravanserails and cities during the march and who now are roaming around like packs of stray dogs amounts to tens of thousands. The flourishing education system of the Armenians with their 120 000 school children and students is no more , more than 1000 Christian churches are empty or have been changed into mosques". It would be interesting to learn what lie the Turks have contrived or will contrive to show that also the neutral Dutch or Arabic accounts of the Armenian genocide are "inventions" ? It seems that everything which doesn't gratify the Turkish megalomaniac vision of themselves is "invention", doesn't it?
