Religions Will Perish While the Truth Of His Anounted Yeshua RemainsReader comment on item: Resisting Islamic Law Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Feb 25, 2008 at 11:46 In reference to the characterization of the Roman Catholic assembly as being against the Holy Scriptures and the Word of the LORD, there is no argument here, for having come out of the Romanesque environment and never having come to the truth while there, my salvation in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach occurred from my encounter with the Holy Spirit at a time in my life when nothing else but the truth was ever going to reach me. It was only in the love that Rabbi Yeshua bore for me on the cross of Golgotha that I could ever hope to be spiritually free, and only in His power would I be free indeed. It is in that power that I can express the resistance that I have for false religious influences that would try and tear me away from His redeeming love, and there is not a religion, not Roman Catholic, not Anglican/Episcopalian (the religious association of my birth), not any other religious affiliation that is going to deter me nor distract me from the ultimate truth that is found in the Holy Scripture. I possess no other source of power other than that provided in me by my association through the Holy Spirit, given to me by my faith in Yeshua HaMashiach. The question now might be, why would I place so much in a person that so many would describe as a fake, an imposter, or maybe just a good person that deed some good deeds, but had no power to change the lives of the men, women and children He touched? For those that would receive it from the Hebrew Holy Scriptures, here are a few reasons why. Isaiah 9:6) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7) Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (Who else could this be but HaMashiach?) Isaiah 45:11) Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. (Who else could this be but HaMashiach?) Isaiah 53:3) He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4) Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 8) He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 10) Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put [him] to grief: when thou shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. (Who else could this be but Yeshua, the Savior?) Isaiah 59:19) So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. 20) And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD. (This is the same Redeemer as mentioned by Job in his sorrows; who else but HaMashiach?) Isaiah 60:12) For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, [those] nations shall be utterly wasted. 13)The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. 14) The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. (Who else could this be but HaMashiach?) Psalm 2:1) Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2) The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying], 3) Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4) He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. 5) Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. 6) Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. 7) I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee. 8) Ask of me, and I shall give Thee the heathen for Thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Thy possession. 9) Thou shall break them with a rod of iron; thou shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. 10) Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. 11) Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12) Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish [from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed [are] all they that put their trust in him. (Who else could this be but HaMashiach [the Anointed], Yeshua [Savior], the Son of David? These are all references to HIS Name, HIS Person, and no one else) And how are we supposed to be looking for Him now? Of the many references, in these trying times where the hordes of the black scarves seek to over run again the Holy Hill of Zion, we have here just one of the hopes for the children of Israel: Zechariah 12:10) And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only Son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for His firstborn. (Many have reasoned many other possibilities, but in reality, it can only be Yeshua HaMashiach, the Son of David, the Holy One of Israel.) One can believe it or not, but as we look upon the turmoil and animosity directed toward Israel, there is only one way to resist the attacks of the Adversary, by trusting in the Word of the LORD in His love, by the power of His Holy One of Israel. There is no other way, for these are but a few of the Hebrew Scriptures by which I have come to recognize Rabbi Yeshua as the LORD of my life, and by which I expect that His Word will be true in my life when it is my turn to stand before Him. You can be sure I never got this from the Roman Church.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
