Syed: Marriages of Safiya and Aisha, Islam's Achiles heelsReader comment on item: Resisting Islamic Law Submitted by Plato (India), Mar 11, 2008 at 21:52 Syed Mohammed Ali you write: >>prophet kill safiyan husband and she narrates ...hadith there are many of her narration if she was a victim of prophet opression she shouldnt stay as prophet wife ...for a long time...right plato<< Right Syed Mohammed. You accept that her husband was killed (after brutal torture under your prophet's instruction). You use the title Syed which means you are proud of your lineage with this prophet. Did you puff up with pride when you read what your forefather did to Safiya's husband and brethren? And do you seriously believe that a woman would willingly marry an old man who had her husband and relatives killed. And if she did then what kind of Mother of Believers do you have? She, a 17-year-old girl with all her near and dear one slaughtered or exiled. What choice did she have in the matter of being the wife of the most powerful man of the time and also giving hadith to please his followers. How many women captured by the Muslims had any choice but to stay and keep themselves alive. Syed Mohammed Ali, how naïve can a prophet's descendant be? >>...jewish tribe who famous for betray the prophet ..<< Just a statement will not do Syed Mohammed. Give us some proof of how this tribe was "famous" for betrayal of the prophet. Muslims throw out accusations against anyone they have themselves attacked of having betrayed their trust, conspired against them or being the aggressors. All these accusations often when closely examined turn out be what the Muslims themselves did to those accused. Caravan raiding is one well-known fact. >>..right ...sure ...the girl'father was mature enough ...you too put hand in your heart dont you feel what is good what is bad for your daughter ,,,if abu baker ...give his daughter hand to prophet he should have think understand many of thing along with his wife ....you have a problem but her parents did not ...<< Fantastic Syed Mohammed Ali. The girl's father was mature enough and even though his daughter was almost a babe in arms, the mature father marries her off to a granddad! I wonder if you would do that to your six-year-old daughter if you had one. But let us read what Abu Bakr really felt at the time. Bukhari, Vol 7, Book 62, No.18. Narrated Ursa: The Prophet asked Abu Bakr for Aisha's had in marriage. Abu Bakr said "But I am your brother." The Prophet said, "You are my brother in Allah's religion and His Book, but she (Aisha) is lawful for me to marry." Here is your prophet, in his eagerness to marry the child Aisha, cocking a snook at Allah's religion and His Book and saying despite his being his brother (by marriage relationship) he can lawfully marry the child. Are you proud of this forefather of yours, Syed Mohammed Ali? So Abu Bakr and his wife did not have a problem with this child marriage, does that make it right for an old man to marry a child? Or for a father to inflict such a crime on his little daughter? In India, where you live, both the husband and he parents would land in jail. What kind of ethics do you believe in Syed?? Greedy parents marrying off their children to rich old men is older than Islam. Muslims to this day groan when this topic is brought up and either deny Aisha's age or try desperately to justify does with this act of its founder. It is you Syed who has a problem trying hard to defend a marriage that is not defensible on any ground whatsoever. >> yes drinking wine was also a trend but it was prohibited ...one must also understand that muta marriage was allowed later it is forbidden...<< This muta marriage is not something you find in the Koran. It was something the prophet allowed so I see no problem with that, just a human legislation. But wine was first only frowned upon by Allah and then that verse was abrogated by this all-knowing being when he realised His frowning was not having an impact. Big difference Syed, unless Muhammad was just another alias of Allah. >>...that is what i meant if your god is not think it is an act of pervert to come out from 12 years old girl do you think you have any moral obligation to point of fingers on other or bieng old man or being grand dady of 53 years old with 9 years 15 or 19 ...sure mary was a virgin ...iam not denying<< If God Himself decided to hide in a 12-year-old's womb for some time and presented Himself as His own son I have no problem with that as this God did not do any of the things men do to women to get them pregnant. But here was this 53-year-old man literally going against his own religion and forcing Aisha's parents against their protests (weak though they were) to get into the bed a child. So yes, I have a moral obligation to point out that this marriage was a patently unethical one as the parents were forced to accept his marriage proposal. And now because of that one unsavoury marriage Muslims the world over think nothing of giving their pre-pubescent daughters in marriage to old men. >>...you are screaming of terrorism extermism... we are fighting against occupation ..and InsAllah we will achieve it on the cost of our lives ....<< Muslims did achieve occupation of several countries. India, Spain, Persia, Egypt, Syria. This time around however, if you try occupation, you know that the price to be paid will be unacceptable that is why Muslims are trying to achieve it by guerrilla tactics of suicide bombings, and high birth rates.
