Mansoor: Let us hear from you the wonderful liberties the Islam grants us!Reader comment on item: Resisting Islamic Law Submitted by Plato (India), Mar 10, 2008 at 22:59 Mansoor, you have given us a long list of rhetorical questions all of which you expect will cause discomfiture among us infidels. Yes, the way the questions are framed it does cause us discomfort. Now let me take up your questions and show you are throwing stones at us while living in a glass house. >> Is liberty is to kill the innocent people of weak countries???<< Read something I found in Bukhari. Volume 3, Book 46, Number 717: Narrated Ibn Aun: I wrote a letter to Nafi and Nafi wrote in reply to my letter that the Prophet had suddenly attacked Bani Mustaliq without warning while they were heedless and their cattle were being watered at the places of water. Their fighting men were killed and their women and children were taken as captives; the Prophet got Juwairiya on that day. Nafi said that Ibn 'Umar had told him the above narration and that Ibn 'Umar was in that army. This is the example the Muhammad set for Muslims on liberties against your enemy. Attack without warning, kill the men and take women and children captive and marry or use beautiful women as concubines. >> Is liberty is to insult innocent inmates of Abu Ghraib???<< Is it liberty to curse and insult people of other faith as the Koran does: 2:65: And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath: We said to them: Be ye apes, despised and rejected. >>Is liberty is to blow Japanese with Atomic Bomb???<< Your prophet did not possess an atomic bomb so we can't say what he would have done but guess what one of his faithful followers, Osama bin Laden would with an atomici device if he gets his hands on one. >>Is liberty is to conspire against small nations like Panama and bring perpetual unrest in Central America???<< Ibn Ishaq page 511 on the Muslim sacking of Khaybar:…The apostle said, ‘Allah akbar! Khaybar is destroyed. When we arrive in a people's square it is a bad morning for those who have been warned…… ….The apostle seized the property piece by piece and conquered the forts one by one as he came to them… Your prophet attacked Khaybar on the flimsiest of reasons when he became powerful like the Americans in Panama or Iraq. >> Is liberty is to kill millions of innocent children only on the charge of connection with Taliban???<< Is it liberty to wipe out an entire tribe (Banu Quraiza) and enslave its children merely on the suspicion that some of its elders had conspired with Muhammad's enemies? >>Is liberty is to undress your daughters, sisters, mothers and bring them to hardcore adult websites for the sake of few dollars? And is it liberty to genetically mutilate young girls so that they are deprived of sexual pleasure all their lives?<< Is it liberty to hold women as concubines to satisfy the sexual lust of Muslim men? The Koran allows it and your prophet himself accepted women slaves as concubines (Mariah for instance). Is it liberty to shut away Muslim women in homes and allow them freedom of movement only under the watchful eyes of their close male relatives? Is it freedom enforce the purdah on women? As to pornographic sites, the maximum hits they receive are from Muslim countries (despite all kinds of restrictions on them). >> Is liberty is to share bed with your neighbors, schoolmates, office colleagues, subordinates and practice sexual harassment every where??<< Is it liberty to force yourself on your unwilling slave women. Was a girl of six (Aisha) given the liberty to choose (and even if given the choice, what kind of a choice would it be?) whether she wanted to spend the rest of her life with a man old enough to be her grand dad? You know what I am talking about don't you Mansoor? Is forcing yourself on captive women not sexual harassment? >>Is liberty is to throw your daughter out of your house to sleep with her boyfriend without marrying???<< Is it liberty to marry a teenage girl (Safiya) after murdering her husband and relatives. Is it freedom to keep a girl (Rehana) as a concubine after destroying her entire tribe? And is it liberty to kill your female relatives if you think they have lovers outside of marriage? >>Is liberty is to dump your elders into old houses crying, weeping and missing their loved ones who are enjoying the colors of life without them???<< Is it liberty to enslave old men, women and children and sell them in the slave markets (Banu Quraiza, Bani Mustaliq). Would the women and children and old men have wept for their loved ones? >>Is this the freedom of speech is to insult any body's beloved and ideal figure and make disgusting cartoons?<< Is it freedom of speech to denigrate and destroy the beloved idols and revered customs of other faiths? Your prophet did that when he insulted the idols of Mecca and their customs. When he acquired power he broke them with his own hands with the helpless Meccans watching. >> Is this the freedom of speech is to destroy private life of the people who work for humanity especially "Lady Diana"??<< And what is the wonderful example your prophet set regarding freedom of speech?? I once told you about what happened to Asma Bint Marwan who criticised your prophet for having a man killed for criticisin him. He had her murdered by his henchmen >> Is this the freedom of speech is to bring disgrace and shame to highlight the scandals of popular figures like Bill Clinton to destroy their family life??<< Unfortunately, Clinton was honest enough not to claim to be in communication with Allah, or he could also well have mouthed an ayat that endorsed his dalliance with Monica. Your prophet did exactly that when the Arabs were scandalised by his marrying his cousin-daughter-in-law. So also when scandal hit his favourite wife Aisha a convenient ayat was revealed to exonerate her. Muhammad gagged the Muslims with aya. Now for 1400 years Muslims have been gagged about many a scandal in his life by well-timed aya. So convenient. >> If the points mentioned above are the criteria of Liberty and Freedom of Speech then…My foot on is on it!!!!<< Mansoor, you put your foot in your mouth by sounding off about the defects in western freedoms. Now let us hear what you have to say about the wonderful freedoms your Koran and Muhammad has bestowed on us.
