Apparently, while the disarray in the Ukraine is stalling some of the advances hoped for by this time, it is also apparent that the Ukraine was merely an impediment in an ambitious effort to remake an empire that has captured the darkened minds of former Soviet apparatchiks that have happened upon a formula by which the previously stifled Russian republics could not expand against in the former Warsaw alliances; but those desires are fueled by the quasi-capitalistic changes in fossil fuel apportionments now argued over between Russia and the west; and the quest for dominance is on. Unequal alliances make NATO a weakened target that cannnot gain any one participant as a reliable partner, instead finding insufficient support from untried members in a numbers tournament that have yet to determine if the Russian has any real intent in their sector; or as some have indicated, may be willing to negotiate to minimize vulenrability. In the meantime, an alternative target is now identified as the leadership is being shifted. Again, it is petroleum based, is it not?
