We hear that more people were tragically lost today and there is still no relief in sight that the Russian is ever going to relent. How can he: his rhetoric suggests he has not exhausted his exasperation with the west and his fears that the Russian empire he seeks to rehabilitate is nowhere near the status he seeks to leave as a legacy. And what if his plans for expansion are frustrated still, what else might he try and to the extent he warns those who would dare challenge him, does the nuclear option bear any such gratification that it does become more than an option? How much more does the world tolerate before finding out?
