Russian Leader Doubling Down in Face of Weakened Resolve to Confront by the West - Frustrating - But Not Unexpected

In case it is not all that easily determined by some; that the Russian invasion of the Ukraine is a starter exercise for greater ambitions of empire in a world that has relapsed into former Twentieth Century attitudes; and the tentative mentality of a globalistic malaise caused by acquiescent propensities of secularistic socialistic pursuits will pull many away from seeking peace in the face of renewed nuclear threats: and the Russian thinks they will win. Were it not for a deepening failure of humanity to truly understand why things are falling apart so dramatically, as the trauma of the Russian confrontation continues for its expected extension of cataclysmic tragedy, the resulting failure of the rest of the west will allow this to drag along for at least a couple of months or more before anyone gets the sense it will not go away because the Russian will tire of its inexplicable inability to achieve the desired results in the timeframe hoped for..
Thus, it is a waiting game to see when it all runs out of energy before being completed. But, be careful; if the frustration mounts so dramatically and Slavic impatience is achieved, then all bets are off and a different conclusion should be looked for. Yet, no one is prepared for that eventuality, are they?
