Referendum Instituted in False Attempt to Legitimize Claim of Territorial Appropriation - The Imperial Ambition Does Not End Here

In an apparent attempt to poll the hometown citizenry to find 'who's with me' and who are to be labelled traitorous to the cause of reestablishing the former glory of the 'new' Soviet empire, a referendum is ordered to seek some sense of what needs to be done politically to quell the unrest now caused by a Russian citizenry that for many years, suffered under the impression/delusion that the Russia produced under the leadership of Boris Yeltsin would produce a democratic society, leaving behind the oppression of the Soviet totalitarian State.
The problem then, as it is now, the democracy they envisioned was already corrupted and the delusion was already infused by the competing political forces fighting for dominion: secular socialists versus religious capitalists. The former were remnants of the Soviet regime; the latter were the underground that managed an underground financial black market that also impoverished the general population by the same means that cartels in other parts of the world make merchandize of the captured citizenry, many times under the guise of religious institutional purposes. Why does anyone think that the Roman Catholic Church in the west seem to function like the Russian Orthodoxy in the east; and rich denizens of each are always keeping the rituals alive to keep those others in positions of poverty.
The Russian Leader has been waiting for his moment under that cover of former Russian glory: but his version is tainted by the Soviet secularitic model as revised by Stalin; much in the way that Stalinistic socialism is being fought over in America. Think it not so?
Why are there fully born American citizens doing business with Russian interests while at the same time holding dear to their Chinese investments? As soon as the current American Government (not the Constitutionally authorized one) launches the crypto-dollar, everyone one will find out how bad it will get. It will be introduced to curb inflation, the same way the German Weimar currency was reigned in.
The Russian is similary challenged, now that he has upset the energy patterns globally and oil/gas prices are fluctuating beyond reasonable control. Guess what's next?
It's not stopping at the Ukraine.
