Retrieving resources from Syria exposes certain other planning and execution of politcal as well as military missteps that have frustrated the Russian's ambitions. Anticipating what's next may have further repercussions that the West may not have the best answer for NATO posturing in response to the next breakout in Donbas; and elsewhere.
