That the Russian is intent on achieving certain unspecified goals is obvious; but to what extent must the world be ready to pay for those ambitions? That remains to be seen.
While it further appears that certain objectives are specifically tied to subjecting the Ukraine to the whims of an oligarchic autocrat, the larger spectral (political Kirlian effect) of a world in which a dominating Russian presence which was once thought to be a thing of the former Soviet past is now permeating in a global theater projections that if one is not careful, pushing that last button is not all out of the question.
The world does not/will not have the political will to keep that from orchestrating its own destruction.
That bieng the case, from where does anyone think peace will ever be offered?
