Are the following assumptions and thinking naive?

Pakistan, along with Saudi Arabia, are the two legs in which majority of terrorism and islamism stand. Iran. Appears a bit more civilised. Can Israel, India and United States influence Iran for reasonable behavior - stop support Hizbollah, stop nuke buildup and help create a new supply line to Afghanistan (The current US supply line to Afghanistan is disrupted by pakistanis). This will provide more options to play the balancing game. If Saudi Arabia/Pakistan mess around, Iran can be a prospective ally.

More than Pakistan, it is the sunni rogue regime of Pakistan that remains most destabilising force. Pakistani Army is an islamic force more powerful than Iranian Army. Pakistan has nukes, a history of proliferation and the greatest hatred towards non-muslims. Dr. Pipes can perhaps share his insights.
