reply to kman's "religion is a big omelette" well, we must surrender in order to be able to sit at the tableReader comment on item: Insight into Obama's Middle East Policy? Submitted by Keith Williams (United States), Jan 7, 2009 at 11:54 Hi Mr kman, We must surrender to God in order to be able to stand firm against evil. All other ways might lead to a very warm place. I like your first sentence, "smiles remain intact even after throats are slit". If that is the case then I pray that I am indeed one of the ones smiling knowing that I did my best and God willing, will be returning to my LORD. My intentions are to comfort and give hope to help us to stand firm against evil. I am aware that we have a lot of problems in the world and you know as I do that things are going to get worse. We may or may not be in the last days but at any rate the day will come. In the meantime we have to keep ourselves morally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually strong with the help of God. We have to seek refuge with him against our mutual enemy. The enemy of God and all mankind is Satan the rejected one. We can't let bad events and things get us down, especially the things that we can't affect. Some things we have to leave for God's judgment. The things that we can affect then we have to strive and struggle for those to the upmost of our ability. We have to reassure each other and comfort one another and help strengthen one another in these times. Our smiles should represent a knowing deep down that we are indeed rejoicing the great day to come. Only God knows when that day will come and verily we will all come to know when it happens. God willing, we will not be caught up short. When that day comes it will be too late then to willingly surrender. Too late. peace
