"The stalwart ally" nuking the US ...Reader comment on item: Insight into Obama's Middle East Policy? Submitted by Ianus (Poland), Jan 1, 2009 at 06:49 OzTurk (In Turkish : "True Turk") wrote : >Ianus.... Your ... comments would mean you're either greek, armenian, or maybe the lovely mix of both ;)< It's symptomatic that a Turk can't even imagine that someone might be just interested in the subject irrespective of his or her nationality, isn't it ? Turks are told they are so beautiful and innocent and virtuous. So any criticism of Turkishness a Turk instinctively reduces to "malice" coming from "evil" hostile forces around Turkey. After having repeated several thousands time "How sweet to be a Turk" (Ne mutlu turkum diyene) he's become incapable of thinking a single bad thing about Turkishness , let alone admit it , athough they are a legion. As Moltke pointed out "It's almost impossible for a European to realize the level of intellectual degradation and abjectness in the Orient". His observations are as valid now as they were during his remarkable mission to Turkey. >DEAL with it Turkey IS the stalwart ally of both the USA and Israel, regardless of who the political leader of Turkey is, and what the people may think at any given time.....< Write this silly wish to to the authors of the survey to which Dr Pipes is referring. And for the time being tell the ignorant American public how you loved the two Turkish Anti-American Anti-Jewish bestsellers - "The Valley of the Wolves" or the "Metal Storm" ? The former is a movie every "friend" of Turkey should watch and the latter the book partly used in the movie depicting a war between Turkey and the US where the US kafirs are obliterated with a Turkish atomic bom. How nice and lovely of the "stalwart ally"! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
