I though about it also, why Olmert is trying to wrap-up a quick victory against Hamas and atleast "clean-up" their weapons and infrastructures.

The answer: Israel fears Obama, they want to clean the mess, before they can hear suprises from Obama.

But here is a thought for you: What if Hamas appears like the David infront of the Golliath? typically like Hizbollah? (so far Hamas is still firing a lot of Rockets)
