A bit of hypocrisy you reveal, Ibn Masud.Reader comment on item: Insight into Obama's Middle East Policy? Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), Jan 13, 2009 at 22:34 "Do you really believe an active Muslim Daiee will accept worshiping the Cross? Jesus? Mary?" Question for you, Ibn Masud: did YOU actually think those you invited to Islam would accept? So only YOUR success at prosteletizing is feasible; others, belonging to religions other than Islam, doing the same are considered ridiculous? That is quite revealing - you will most likely couch your reply in how much devotion you have towards Islam, and that is the reason for your disdain (rudeness). While it does puzzle me why anyone would intentionally convert to Islam, I am secure enough in my eternal salvation through faith alone in Christ alone, to not be botherd with explaining why I, personnally, would rather not accept an invitation to Islam. My previous post merely presented a couple of questions regarding Islam, which I will repeat: How does one get to Heaven (Paradise)? What happens if I change my mind? According to Islamic scripture, the answer to both is: DEATH. Qur'an 9:111 supports this (those who "slay and are slain", etc. receive Paradise), as well as Qu'ranic verse 2:217. You, conversely, assume I worship the Cross, and Mary, and "Humanbeing". No questions. Just your statement. One principle you won't find in Islam, nor ANY other religion throughout human history: "For by [God's] grace you are saved through faith; and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; and not of works, lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9 Don't forget to explain to those "women" in MO what Ibn Abbaas said: "The messenger of Allah said, 'Whoever changes his religion, kill him.' " - Al-Bukhary, number 6922
