To Aamir Ali: I am enjoying this platform too! People who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others III.Reader comment on item: Ban Islam? Submitted by Plato (India), Sep 13, 2007 at 03:29 Aamir, I have taken the liberty to cut and paste some paras from Shri Devi's reply to you to illustrate the yawning gap that exists between a monotheistic and necessitarian faith like yours and a libertarian one like Hinduism. Shri Devi (SD) says: SD>>We do not attack other religions because we have taught to assimilate good teachings in all other faiths..... << And what is the first thing Muslims do? Attack other religions as false and pagans as worshippers of idols ( forgetting they have some idols of their own, like the kaaba, Marwa and Safa peaks and Mohammed, yes Mohammed as you always add his name to Allah's). It is sunnah for Muslims to destroy idols (remember Bamiyan?) SD>>You remove the Kaaaba Stone first around which all Muslims have to encircle if his finances allow him... Arabic is the language which is divine as per Quran ( which itself is idol worship ( You are worshipping the language)... and Meccah is the direction where you pray 5 times a day... ( This is also idol worship since it is meaningless if you worship an Omnipresent Allah who will be in all directions...)<< Muslims necessarily have to turn towards Mecca and the rock situated there to have their prayers accepted. Muslims necessarily have to pray in Arabic to have their prayers accepted. The Hindus have no such necessity. They can worship any idol or no idol at all. So which is really idol worship? This goes to show as Shri Devi says, that Muslims do not really believe in their heart of heats that Allah is Omniscient. Otherwise they would not mind turning to the South and praying in Urdu. SD>>When you blame others intospect yourself. Whu you should bow down touching your forehead on the ground? There are numerous examples which will point that you are also worshipping idols.<< The number of taboos, rituals and incantations, so typical of idol worship, that Muslims are forced to believe in is mind-boggling. Start with prayer. Ritual washing while murmuring something in Arabic, bending, prostrating, turning their faces right and left, pointing with a finger are all part of their prayer. But Allah is so finicky that if you accidentally touch a member of the other sex you get polluted and your prayers will be rejected You have to repeat the washing up all over again. If you pass wind after your wudu you do the washing up all over again, and weirdly you wash everything else but the offending organ. Allah seems to believe that as long as that smelly gas is in your body it is okay, your prayers are pure and can be accepted, but when you let it out it pollutes you! Being in Pakistan your Mullahs must have told you gleefully about the caste system in India and how touching an untouchable polluted the higher castes and they had to ritually cleanse themselves. Well, the Hindus are nearly past all that, but what about Muslims with these silly concepts of pollution. Touching a dog or a menstruating woman pollutes a Muslim. One of Allah's own creations, the pig, is despised as unclean. Allah Himself has taught you incantations to keep away evil, Surah 113 and 114. Are these any different from the mantras of idol worshippers? Allah himself seems to indulge in what the idol worshippers indulge in i.e. swear by the sun, the moon, stars, mountains, and horror of horrors even the fig and olive (Surah 95). SD>>Nobody in the world want to attack your beautiful religion if it restricts itself in the sphere of selves of individuals..<<. Reflect on what Shri Devi has said my dear Aamir Ali. She calls your religion beautiful even after you called her religion false (....I respect your religion but cannot accept it as a true one...). Are you getting the feel of what tolerance the polytheists are capable of? The same polytheists were once your ancestors but you lost a lot of what was beautiful and good in human nature when your forebears had to submit to Islam. SD>>When a religion starts laughing at others and in the process terminating others the whole world will concentrate on correcting, reforming or some may try to ban that Religion...<< Aamir, Shri Devi is being polite here by saying ‘laughing' , and I have to disagree. Islam curses, abuses and threatens torture in hell forever for unbelievers. Should I quote the relevant verses? Yes and the world is now trying to and succeeding very, very slowly in correcting and reforming Islam. No Muslim country will tolerate (at least openly) what Islam tolerates so casually, concubinage, slave keeping, child marriages. The horror of sharia punishments are only rarely carried out in Muslim countries. Women are winning more respect and freedom in Muslim countries. Regards, Plato
