Islam is similiar to Christianity and will, God willing, help save America and Americans will, God willing help save IslamReader comment on item: Ban Islam? Submitted by Keith Williams (United States), Oct 9, 2008 at 21:05 Hi Dana, Peace unto you, All people of faith, Qur'an 2:62 The believers, the Jews, the Christians and the Sabians – whoever believes in God and the last day and does what is good, shall receive their reward from their Lord. They shall have nothing to fear and they shall not grieve. Please forgive the mistakes in my comments and I pray that you see the truth of Islam and if not then I pray that you will at least be the best in the way of God and submit to him as best as you can and believe in God, the last day, the Angels, his Books, the Messengers; practice regular charity, remain steadfast in prayer and remain God fearing. If you do that then that is what Islam teaches. And you would be one of those who submit his will to God's will with all his mind, body, and soul for the love of God. None of the prophets such as; Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, etc… peace be upon them all, were called Jews or Christians so don't get hung up on that. The similiarity is that Christianity, Islam, and Judaism all claim the prophets and that all were believers and submitters to the will of God the most high because they all submitted their will with all their mind, body, and soul to God's will. There are differences but the similiarities outweigh the differences. We must embrace each other as brothers and sisters and unite against the true enemy of man, Satan. Let's agree to disagree on the differences and leave those differences to God to decide on judgement day. Let's all just get along against our common foe and help each other while we are here. It is not a matter of Islam having enough power in America to spread the truth about Islam. God is all powerful and he does as he wills so that is no problem. How could Islam have spread by the sword as some say if since it was so small and had no power to achieve what it did? So if you are looking at Islam as a religion as being spread by the sword as some misguided people in the past have suggested then yes it would be crazy to think that such a small number of Muslims in America could spread Islam in America in that way. It was not spread by the sword but it did spread by conquering the hearts and minds of man very fast in that way. That is why such a small group of Muslims took on the Roman and Persian superpowers of that age and spread thru both not thru the sword which would have been crazy but thru the hearts and minds. Islam will spread in America and is spreading so fast in America because Americans are looking for the truth and when we see Islam, God willing, we will know the truth when we see it and will submit to it and discover the tranquility of being in God's love that you feel from submission to his will. There is no other feeling like it on earth. The satisfaction one gets from pleasing God and knowing that God is pleased with you. If you already have that feeling then you are indeed blessed. Peace be upon you. If not then I pray that you submit. Islam is not against Christianity and Judaism it is here to help and to help fulfil God's plan according to his will. Rest assured, we will all, God willing, overcome Satan and his evil forces. Christianity and Islam are very similar. Just like two rays coming from the same sun. Sure, there are some differences in the two rays but they come from the same source. There is one unforgiveable sin that is stated in both the Qur'an and Bible. Matthew 12:32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven neither in this world nor in the world to come. Qur'an 4:116 God will not forgive associating any other god with Him, but will forgive anything less than that, to whomever He wills. He who associates any other god with God, has really gone very far astray! I don't think you are correct on a couple of your points. I don't think all Christians believe that Jesus Christ as the SON of GOD as you stated. May be Trinitarian Christians right? Those who believe in the trinity doctrine. Please correct me if I am wrong. You are right on one point though. Islam does not believe in the trinity because God revealed to all prophets, peace be upon them all, that he is one and to have no other God's besides him. Here is some scripture from Qur'an and Bible as proof (there are so many but I will just list a few): [2:163] Your god is ONE GOD; there is no god but He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. [5:73] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is a third of a trinity. There is no god except the ONE GOD. Unless they refrain from saying this, those who disbelieve among them will incur a painful retribution. [6:3] He is the ONE GOD in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secrets and your declarations, and He knows everything you earn. [6:19] Say, "Whose testimony is the greatest?" Say, "GOD's. He is the witness between me and you that this Quran has been inspired to me, to preach it to you and whomever it reaches. Indeed, you bear witness that there are other gods* beside GOD." Say, "I do not testify as you do; there is only ONE GOD, and I disown your idolatry." [7:54] Your Lord is the ONE GOD, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then assumed all authority. The night overtakes the day, as it pursues it persistently, and the sun, the moon, and the stars are committed to serve by His command. Absolutely, He controls all creation and all commands. Most Exalted is GOD, Lord of the universe. Upholding the Teachings of Religious Leaders, [9:31] They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords,* instead of GOD. Others deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only ONE GOD. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners. If you obey the religious leaders advice that is contrary to God's teachings, or if you take the their advice instead of God's, you have gone astray. [14:52] This is a proclamation for the people, to be warned herewith, and to let them know that He is only ONE GOD, and for those who possess intelligence to take heed. [16:22] Your god is ONE GOD. As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, their hearts are denying, and they are arrogant. [16:51] GOD has proclaimed: "Do not worship two gods; there is only ONE GOD. You shall reverence Me alone." [18:110] Say, "I am no more than a human like you, being inspired that your god is ONE GOD. Those who hope to meet their Lord shall work righteousness, and never worship any other god beside his Lord." [21:108] Proclaim, "I have been given divine inspiration that your god is ONE GOD. Will you then submit?" [28:70] He is the ONE GOD; there is no other god beside Him. To Him belongs all praise in this first life, and in the Hereafter. All judgment belongs with Him, and to Him you will be returned. [34:27] Say, "Show me the idols you have set up as partners with Him!" Say, "No; He is the ONE GOD, the Almighty, Most Wise." [41:6] Say, "I am no more than a human being like you, who has been inspired that your god is ONE GOD. You shall be devoted to Him, and ask His forgiveness. Woe to the idol worshipers. [59:22] He is the ONE GOD; there is no other god besides Him. Knower of all secrets and declarations. He is the Most Gracious, Most Merciful. [59:23] He is the ONE GOD; there is no other god besides Him. The King, the Most Sacred, the Peace, the Most Faithful, the Supreme, the Almighty, the Most Powerful, the Most Dignified. GOD be glorified; far above having partners. [59:24] He is the ONE GOD; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise. Now I know what you are probably thinking. I don't believe in the Qur'an. That is fine. Here you go, the same thing from the Bible. Exodus 20:3-5 (The ten commandments) [3] thou shalt have no other gods before me. [4] thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: [5] thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; Numbers 23:19 God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man that he should be given counsel; he speaks and he shall do it, and his word abides for ever. Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord; Deuteronomy 4:35 You saw and knew that the Lord is God; there is none else besides him. Isaiah 45:5-21 "I am the Lord, and there is none else; there is no God besides me;..." Matthew 4:10 "Then Jesus answered, go away satan! The scripture says, Worship the Lord your God and serve only him!" Matthew 5:17-19 [17] Do not suppose that I have come to weaken the law or the prophets; I have not come to weaken but to fulfil. [18] For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even a yoth or a dash shall pass away from the law until all of it is fulfilled. [19] Whoever therefore tries to weaken even one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but anyone who observes and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 10:40-41 [40] Whoever welcomes you welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. [41] Whoever welcomes God's messenger because he is God's messenger will share in his reward. And whoever welcomes a good man because he is good, will share in his reward. Matthew 12:18-21 (God's chosen servant) [18] Behold my servant with whom I am pleased, my beloved one, in whom my soul rejoices; I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will preach justice to the peoples. [19] He will not argue, nor will he cry aloud; and no man will hear his voice in the street. [20] He will not break even a bruised reed, and he will not extinguish a flickering lamp, until he brings justice to victory; [21] And in his name will the Gentiles find hope. Matthew 13:57 And they were perplexed about him. But Jesus said to them, No prophet is mocked, except in his own city and in his own house. Matthew 19:16-17 (Jesus divinity refuted) [16] Once a man came to Jesus. Teacher, he asked, what good thing must I do to receive eternal life? [17] Why do you ask me concerning what is good? Answered Jesus. There is only one who is good. Keep the commandments if you want to enter life. Mark 12:29-32 [29] Jesus said to him, The first of all commandments is, Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord; [30] And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your might; this is the first commandment. [31] And the second is like to it, You must love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. [32] The scribe said to him, Well, Teacher, you have said the truth, that he is One, and there is no other besides him; Malachi 2:10-11 [10] Have we not all one father? Or has not one God created us? Why then do we deal treacheroulsly every man against his brother by profaning the covenant of our fathers? [11] Judah has dealt treacheroulsly, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has defiled the sanctuary of the Lord of hosts and has loved and served foreign gods. 1 Corinthians 8:4-6 [4] As concerning the eating of food offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. [5] For though there are those that are called gods, whether in heaven or earth, just as there are many gods and many lords, [6] To us there is one God, the Father, from whom comes everything and by whom we live; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ, James 2:19 You believe that there is one God; you do well. The devils also believe, and they tremble. Thanks for reading my comments and I pray that you received some revelation from it. If I have offended you it was not my intention. I tried to be as respectful to all religions as I can which is what the Qur'an teaches. Don't believe all of the misinformation about Islam. Sure some people are doing some bad things in the name of God and Islam just like in Judaism and Christianity and that doesn't mean that all religions are bad for a few bad apples. I thought the same thing before submitting to Islam until I looked and say the purity and beauty of Islam behind the misinformation in the media. I was brainwashed by the media just like many of you. But I saw the light thanks and praise to God and glory to his name.
