Islam's defeat in the market-place of ideas is our best hope.Reader comment on item: Poll: Israel Victory Gains Strength Submitted by Prashant, Sep 4, 2018 at 21:53 Dear Dr Pipes, What your regular reader DNM said in the above message needs to be repeated. DNM said that human beings defeat bad religions/ideologies in the market place of ideas! After asserting this (hopefully) true dictum DNM went on to make a very apt comparison between Islam and Communism and said that both Islam and communism are totalitarian political philosophy. I concur with DNM to a very great extent. I see so many Muslims who break the tenets of Islam routinely and use Islam for political purpose only. I hope draconian ideas of Islam lose in the market place of Ideas. Islam has no respect for democracy. We have to break all rules of reasonable thinking to believe that Islam wants to give equal rights to women. Islam not only does not respect separation of church and state but also it mixes them completely inseparably as salt in sea water. And, Islam does not understand principle of reciprocity between Muslim and non-Muslim entities. Though Islam is the religion of peace, it understands violence just too well! So, yes, Islam needs to be challenged in the market place of ideas and bad principles of Islam need to be challenged in the market place of ideas.
