Our dear Deb you need to take a class in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics 101 and always consult Mullah Google صلى الله عليه وسلم before you post!

Well, you wrote this little gem:

I can also paraphrase this gobbledygook and say:

In fact many Chinese companies are surviving because of their access to the American market. So what the US wants is to get these companies to move their operations from China to the US!

Remember what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander!

The US trade deficit with China was $375 billion in 2017 The US exports to China were $130 billion while imports from China were $506 billion

This really means that if the US stops importing from China, the Chinese economy will collapse over night! Yes, it would affect the US too but not to the same degree!

This is why trade wars are not good and China needs the US as much as the US needs China in trade matters
