We love Debanjan Banerjee for his convoluted logicReader comment on item: Poll: Israel Victory Gains Strength Submitted by Prashant, Sep 25, 2018 at 23:53 Dear Dr Pipes, Mr Debanjan Banerjee is an Islamic apologist and he intentionally presents unsound logical arguments to advance his agenda and to confuse people. In the past he had suggested on this forum that Israel should settle Syrian refugees inside her border. In the present message Mr Banerjee has continued his practice of confusing others with absurd arguments that appear to be logical. I will elaborate. 1. When someone says that US won the world war-II Mr Banerjee retorts that USA did not win on her own. So? How does it imply that USA did not win? 2. When someone says that USA defeated the communist ideology of USSR in 1991, Banerjee retorts that Gorbachev and Reagan reached a detente? So? USA exists today and USSR does not. In my opinion that should settle the issue. 3. Retorting to a rather weak argument that USA and Israel do not nuke Iran and North Korea due to moral consideration, Banerjee says that North Korea possesses the hydrogen bomb. Mr Banerjee forgets that USA did not Nuke North Korea even when North Korea did not have a hydrogen bomb. Overall, the whole argument is weak because nuking countries is so destructive that it is an issue way beyond morality. 4. Continuing his retort to the morality argument, Mr Banerjee says that if USA had any moral considerations, it would not have imposed sanctions on North Korea and Iran. Excuse me. Since when sanctions are immoral? Sanctions are the last non-violent option available to good nations against bad nations. As a result of US sanctions, Iranian people should do some soul searching determine if it is still justified to continue their 14-century theocracy. 5. At the end of his message Mr Banerjee makes the most absurd argument. His last argument trumps all others in its absurdity. Mr Banerjee says that if Israel is an economic superpower why doesn't it accept some African and Palestinian Gazan refugees. Excuse me! Since when it is an obligation for a superpower to accept refugees who question the very existence of the superpower! Every time Mr Banerjee makes an absurd argument, he lures us into making logical arguments against him (as I am doing here) but the truth is that Mr Banerjee's main purpose is to spread confusion. And I am writing this message so no unsuspecting reader of Mr Banerjee's message falls into the confusion that he is trying to create.
