Greetings to Mr. Roberts

Dear Mr. Roberts,

I am extremely sorry to be so late in my reply to you as this was the holiday season in India. I also wish you a belated happy Halloween.

My upbringing is not relevant to this debate between us however for your convenience I must say that quite a number of my relatives have been living happily in the U.S. and I myself have had very positive personal relationships with some Americans whom I have had the opportunity to meet in my life.

Ethnically I belong to one of those Indian cultures which won most of benefits of modern education thanks to early knowledge of the English language and our ethnic stock were at the forefront of supporting the English colonial project of British India.

I must say that I never see individual Americans as evil however I do believe that the US system and the US constitution have created a lot of evil in our world particularly since it was founded.

Unfortunately my good image of individual Americans gets sullied when well-educated person like you support the monstrous entities like the US military-industrial complex whom even President Eisenhower condemned. Please tell me what good that monstrous entity has done to the World apart from bringing in massive death and destruction as we see in the middle east today ?

I also do not see you condemning US racist laws of the past like the "Chinese exclusion act". For me this is same as supporting antisemitism.

So knowing everything about the horrors that the US military-industrial complex has brought upon the World why do you not condemn it wholeheartedly ? Why do you support it ?

I will be eagerly awaiting your answers.
