Our dear "Robert" has no clue that early Arabic language texts were very often written in Garshuni!Reader comment on item: Poll: Israel Victory Gains Strength Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Oct 29, 2018 at 16:07 Dear Readers: This is beyond our dear "Robert" madrassa education Our dear "Robert" tells us that Syriac speakers use the Arabic numbers/numerals in Syriac texts. So what? He had no clue that almost all Syriac speakers also are also Arabic speakers. Their second mother tongue is Arabic! So why not use Arabic numbers/numerals? More? Arabs used to write their texts using Syriac alphabet before the stabilization of the Arabic alphabet Why? because the Syriac alphabet was stable. These texts are called Garshuni texts. Here is an example: The word Allah in Arabic is الله and this is how it would look like in a Garshuni text ܐܠܠܗ and I suspect many educated Arabs would be able to read it More? Maronites using Arabic alphabet to write Syriac texts! Here check this: http://www.academia.edu/8474556/_Maronite_Garshuni_Texts_On_Their_Evolution_Characteristics_and_Function_in_Hugoye_Journal_of_Syriac_Studies_vol._17.2_2014_p._237-262 More? Luxenberg believes that al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt has a copy of a Qur'an written in Garshuni (Syriac alphabet)!
