Our dear Robert: Shish Kabab and Falafel! Numerals, Martian Arabic, wikipedia and other sordid mattersReader comment on item: Poll: Israel Victory Gains Strength Submitted by dhimmi no more, Oct 24, 2018 at 06:40 Our dear "Robert" is now lost in time and space! Oh and your argument from "but scholars tell us then it must be true" is a reflection of your poor madrassa education. "Scholars" also tell us that Jihad is some bogus inner struggle when jihad means holy war (Gasp!).So should will believe them? >Still a Dhimmi not only falsely believes against all scholars of Mathematics the the Numerals entered Arabic from the Syriac language, Careless reader. If you read this article with care, which you lack, you will discover that Syriac has its numeral system like all ancient languages of the Middle East, including Egyptian, Persian, Hebrew and Aramaic (Syriac is Middle Aramaic) You will find the table of Syriac numerals on page 3 of this link and they predate the Arab invasion of the Middle East in the 7th century http://users.ox.ac.uk/~wolf2305/documents/syriac-numerals.pdf More? Almost all native Syriac speakers are also native Arabic speakers. Did you get it so far? In your case Indian Muslims and Pakistanis mix Urdu and English and get the best of both! Did you get this? Notice that and I'm paraphrasing, the author on page 4 tells us that in Syriac speakers for the past millennium (Your Arab masters have occupied their homeland for the past 1400 years) also use the Arabic numeral system, because Arabic is also their second mother tongue! Not unlike Urdu/English in your case Now do you get it? So your Arab masters were plagiarizing the numbers from as far back as Akkadian and they got into Arabic from Syriac and they lied to us and told us that they dropped from the sky. Your so called prophet must have spoken Syriac otherwise who would not have been able to be a Tajir in Syria and he would not have understood the Syriac in the Qur'an.' Repeat after me: numerals existed in various languages long time before the Arab invasion in the 7th century. I challenge you to find a historian who would deny it and I proved to you that nothing dropped from the sky, not numbers or numerals! Do you see why I told you that you are a case of half knowledge! > instead of the other way around, based on his own alleged research, but he even ignores the obvious and most common distinction between Numbers and Numerals More shish kabab and falafel and tabouleh and foul medames. You are not a systematic or disciplined writer or thinker Your posts are no more than "word salad" and nonsense So is your Martian Arabic آل الشيخ? Yes or no. I'm waiting >Is there any wonder that I prefer his very polite Archenemy - Anti-American Racist - Deb - to him? Now do us all a favor: Do not pontificate about languages that you cannot speak read or write. Just keep it to yourself As for Deb I have more respect for him than I have for you so far Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
