Motke: What is the Hebrew word for "Rising, standing, resurrection"?Reader comment on item: Poll: Israel Victory Gains Strength Submitted by dhimmi no more, May 28, 2019 at 06:43 Hi Motke, May be I'm missing something here. The Jewish Aramaic, as well as in Syriac, word for "standing, rising, resurrection" is ܩܝܡ or Qayim (compare with Classical Arabic قاءم which more likely than not was originally same as in Syriac and Aramaic or قيم and notice the same Rasm as in the word in Syriac) And yes I see an א or ܐ in added which would be similar to Arabic قاءم or قايم My question is: What is the Hebrew equivalent?
