Mansoor: All guidance is from Allah. So it is Allah who is guiding this tomato seller

Yes, Mansoor, given the vindictive nature of Allah, I will need all the prayers your forgiving nature can send on my behalf. But perhaps you will be wasting your breath (or maybe not!) given that Allah says that no intercession is acceptable to Him and then Allah contradicts Himself and Muhammad confirms the contradiction by claiming he was allowed to intercede. So maybe you should pray to Muhammad on my behalf to intercede with Allah. Your purpose would be better served.

032.004 YUSUFALI: It is Allah Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all between them, in six Days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): ye have none, besides Him, to protect or intercede (for you): will ye not then receive admonition.

002.255 Allah! There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? ….

Ishaq page 326: …Muhammad said, ‘I was made victorious with terror. The earth was made a place for me to clean. I was given the most powerful words. Booty was made lawful for me. I was given the power to intercede…..

Mansoor it seems 2:255 abrogates 32:004 as confirmed by Muhammad when he claims that among all the prophets he was given the power to intercede.

This intercession issue also raises the question of Allah's omnipotence. Does He not know already that Muhammad will intercede for some of his favourite people and make intercession unnecessary. Even the nimblest of Islamic scholars get apoplexy when they consider this conundrum.

You finally got it Mansoor. Allah only guides people who are intended to accept the path, meaning Allah decides who are do-gooders and who evil-doers. For Allah says in 18:57….Verily We have set veils over their hearts lest they should understand this, and over their ears, deafness….

Allah further emphasises this point in:

6:149 Say – For Allah's is the final argument – Had He willed He could indeed have guided you all.

42:44 He whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no protecting friend after Him. …

This is the conundrum your scholarly mullahs are still struggling to solve. Maybe you will have better luck with your knowledge of the Koran.

The pre-determined mindset is there because Allah created me with that mindset. So it is not a total waste or Allah won't waste his creative energies on me. Why would He do such a foolish thing? It strikes me that Allah has created me with a pre-determined mindset with the intention of giving people like you the satisfaction that you are on the right path to paradise. So you see, I am not a complete waste of Allah's energies. I thank Allah for making me be of some use after all, even if He Himself INTENDED me as fuel for His fire. Just simple infidel logic.

But, Mansoor, in 17:97 this is what Allah says: And he whom Allah guideth, he is led aright, while, as for him whom He sendeth astray, for them thou wilt find no protecting friends beside Him,……

What satisfaction can you find in being guided by Allah to the right path? You are guaranteed to reach that path. All you can be is happy that Allah has pre-determined that you will enjoy wine and women in heaven and people like me will suffer from burnt skin and have to drink putrid water instead of wine. I an not going to feel so bad either because it was Allah's decision. My being in hell is for my good for after all Allah is the most merciful and most benevolent Being! Right, Mansoor??

Mansoor, I have quoted several verses in this post and given you my interpretation of them (tafsir). Can you tell me what is wrong with my interpretation. Are they out of context as usual? Show me the elixir in those verses of Allah, and I will gladly drink it to achieve eternal life.

Don't blaspheme Allah, Mansoor. There are innumerable verses that say that Allah decides everyone's fate: 14:27 Allah confirmeth those who believe by a firm saying in the life of the world and in the Hereafter, and Allah sendeth wrong-doers astray. And Allah doeth what He will.

I did not make myself unlucky. Please give Allah that honour because He does what He wills.

You are joking again, aren't you pal? You started off by saying you were praying for me. Or have I missed out on a deep Islamic mystery.

And Have you forgotten that hell is hellishly hot? What do I need a bag for. The only bag I will need is the bag Allah had the foresight to give me when I was born, my skin and it is all packed and ready. For Allah needs my skin to burn it again and again to satisfy His need to inflict pain.

004.056 YUSUFALI: Those who reject our Signs, We shall soon cast into the Fire: as often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty: for Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.

And while my skin is being seared in hell Allah says I will have a grin (?) on my face with my lips displaced. This you gotta see, Mansoor, when we meet on judgment day.

023.104 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced.

Surely Salvador Dali must have got some of his inspiration from the Koran!
