Maha Mohammed: Islam a PERFECT example of what a religion should not beReader comment on item: Destroying Sculptures of Muhammad Submitted by Plato (India), Apr 18, 2008 at 08:23 Maha Mohammed you wrote: >> Islam is different from any other religion, it is PERFECT no matter what any one thinks, including Moslems. Why? Because God said so.<< LOL. Yes it is different. It calls for the death of unbelievers (9:111), no other religion asks for this. Islam is a PERFECT example of what a religion should not be. Why? Simple logic tells you so. And logic is above even Allah. Can Allah make 1+1 = 3? So when Allah says He is the most merciful and in the next breath threatens to boil you in molten brass we have a perfect example of what a god should not be. Allah reveals allegorical verses only He understands and knows which they are (3:7). Of what use are they to humans? How can a religion which has such gobbledygook be perfect? Can any religion that does not condemn slavery unconditionally but bans pork, alcohol and interest be perfect? EVEN IF GOD SAID SO????? And can you look up with respect to such a God? >>The Quran is not just a collection of stories, it contains the guidelines for a human being productive, successful, happy and well rounded life.<< Oh wonderful. You think Muslims live a more productive and happy life than other faiths? Have you been to the West, to India. The Muslims in the West are worse off than all other faiths except in following the rituals of their religion. Of Muslims and Hindus from South Asia having the same cultural background the Hindus are more successful and happier than their counterparts who are angry and dissatisfied and grumble of the bad deal they have in the West. The Muslims in India are better off than in Pakistan or Bangladesh, but somewhat worse off than Hindus, Christians, Sikhs and other faiths. You are from Kuwait. Look at the difference between the Hindus and the Muslims from India and Pakistan and you will know what I mean. And why do Arabs prefer to employ Indians rather than Pakistanis? >>Islam is the religion of realistic life. Islam do not require those who wish to become "pastor" to live a life of solitary!<< This realistic life is only for the males. They have raging libidos, so they can marry four free women, and any number of female slaves, age no bar. Muslim women who develop a crush for a handsome man have to make do by fantasizing about him when their solitary husband finds time for her from his duties with other women. >>Therefore it is no wonder that Moslems request that the guidelines and rules of Islam becomes part of the rules of the country that they live in.<< Have you wondered why in Kuwait, Hindus will not be able to follow the guidelines and rules of Hinduism? Have you wondered why in Hindu majority India Muslims freely practice their religion and even have special sharia compliant laws unlike in Kuwait? >>Because Islam is created to last for ever, therefore it is flexible so it would adapt with all the changes that occur in the world just like any good logistical system would do. For example 25 years ago cyber crimes were almost unheard of, and we could not sentence those criminals. But now legislation and rules are founded to solve this problem.<< Islamic flexibility applies only to crimes which were unknown Muhammad. Why did not Allah give Muslims guidance about future crimes. As far as crimes like petty theft or no crime at all like consensual sex is severely punished even now in Islamic countries. Islam laws are changed on when it is forced upon Muslims like slave keeping. The abhorrence and horror the rest of the world felt about slavery forced Muslims countries to change. Muslim countries are still resisting the UN charter on human rights. Why? >>Please try to be logical when you are talking about Islam, try not to go with main stream, don't be a follower to media Let us be logical. Again and again in the Koran Allah claims to be the most beneficent, most merciful Creator. Logically can such a creator also punish with horrible torture (for ever) people who do not believe in him. If a man's son refuses to accept him as his father, does the father have the right to saw off his head? .<< >>Be an original, if you want to learn about Islam, go to the source, the Quran.<< I must agree with you a 100% that going to the source the Koran is the best way to understand Islam and the behaviour of Muslims. Just studying Surah Tauha can be very enlightening about what Allah expects from Muslims. They can break covenants (9:1-5) They can kill and be killed in Allah's cause (9:111).
