We debate this way because that is what the Koran itself teaches us. It attacks unbelievers with abuses, curses and blood-curdling threats. You must have read them all when you read the Koran in Arabic. And we have read them in the translations we have. Unless of course the translators have got it all wrong, with Satan's help.

Let me walk you through some of the curses, terrors, abuses and threats.

2:88 And they say: Our hearts are hardened. Nay, but Allah has cursed them for their unbelief…

2:89 The curse of Allah is on disbelievers.

8:12 I will instil terror into the hearts of the unbelieves:…..

9:28 You who believe! Verily the mushrikun (unbelievers) are unclean. So let…

22:19-20 …..But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads. Whereby that which is in their bellies and their skins too will be melted.

If there is a part of me that believes there is Allah, then it is not the Allah revealed in the Koran who after claiming to be the most merciful goes on to describe in detail the horrible tortures He will inflict on anyone who disbelieves Him. I cannot believe in such a dishonest Allah.

Fatima, this is the kind of statement why unbelievers say Muslims are here to deceive. Read the Koran, it clearly says in several places that it will terrorise and punish unbelievers. It has nothing to say about people who are good (people like Gautam Buddha, Dalai Lama, Mahatma Gandhi). Fatima, check with any of your scholars what the fate of people like these would be on judgment day.

And look at the contradiction in what you have said. You start by saying Allah does not mean the good people would be punished but then you go on to say that people who don't believe in him would suffer at His hands. You also add that punishment will be for calling the Koran a lie and for doing bad stuff. Gautam Buddha, Dalai Lama, Mahatama Gandhi are not known to have done bad stuff or criticised the Koran. Tell us what their fate would be on judgment day.

The Koran is supposed to contain answers to all important questions. I am surprised it does not answer this.

The Koran says that it loves believers. It also says Allah created everything. This means He also created the unbelievers whom He hates. Conclusion, He deliberately created them causing me to believe He suffers from some kind of schizophrenia.

Fatima, answer all these questions you ask HONESTLY and you will not remain a Muslim any longer.

You answer these questions with: God wants us to choose.. and those who choose him shall win .

Read the Koran and you will realise that that is something Allah has ruled out in so many verses where He confesses that He is responsible for the persons who do not choose what He so dearly wishes. Again we see that Allah is schizophrenic.

017.045 YUSUFALI: When thou dost recite the Qur'an, We put, between thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter, a veil invisible:

017.046 And We put coverings over their hearts (and minds) lest they should understand the Qur'an, and deafness into their ears: when thou dost commemorate thy Lord and Him alone in the Qur'an, they turn on their backs, fleeing (from the Truth).

Allah draws a veil between the prophet and the unbelievers and makes them deaf to what is being preached to prevent them from understanding His words. Allah then accuses them of turning their backs on his words! How much more schizophrenic can you get?

Is Allah's disease rubbing off on you? Tell me Fatima how beautiful you find these words of Allah?

9:30 YUSUFALI: The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

In this verse Allah curses Jews for calling Uzair son of Allah and Christians for Christ son of Allah. What exactly is the big crime for Allah Himself to rant and rave and curse these people. This message is not beautiful

33:61 YUSUFALI: They shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain (without mercy). (Such was) the practice (approved) of Allah among those who lived aforetime: No change wilt thou find in the practice (approved) of Allah.

These verses are about the hypocrites stirring up sedition (opposing Muhammad) and Allah is telling Muhammad to seize them and slaughter them mercilessly. This is Allah encouraging Muhammad to murder his opponents.

I can only feel sorry for people who consider messages such as these beautiful. They are beautiful examples of what one should not expect a loving, all-merciful god to to do or say.
