We can believe what we like and we agree to disagree on matters like pornography, swear words in songs, articles etc. The problem, Maha, is that the Koran does not allow us to disagree with it and because Muslims consider the Koran to be the unedited final word of Allah, they also don't let us disagree with the Koran.

You say you do not agree on using swear words in songs, articles…etc. Why have you ended with etc. Are you shy to add religious books? You know the Koran curses, abuses and threatens unbelievers. Can you agree with the swear words used by the Koran?

A veiled threat of consequences just like so many other Muslims who come to this forum. You have clean forgotten that, that is exactly what Islam does to beliefs of other people. Have you forgotten what the Koran says about Jews, Christians, idol-worshippers and hypocrites? The Koran insults all faiths without exception. Should the Koran face consequences for these insults to other faiths????

My dear Maha, we certainly will feel all that and more if the picture was untrue. But what if the member of my family had married a six-year-old girl, forced himself on a teenaged girl after having her husband and other relatives killed, had men beheaded on some flimsy reason that they WERE PLANNING to betray him, took women and children as slaves and sold them for profit? Would my outrage be justified if I was given proof of these activities of my close relative?

That in a nutshell is the whole problem with the Muslim world. They have made a human being, who claimed to be only a loudspeaker for Allah, into someone so valuable that killing for his sake is considered a sacred duty.

Mohammed claimed to be only a spokesperson for Allah. The Koran which is supposedly Allah's words should be totally unconnected with him. When you attack and kill people for insulting the prophet it as though you are killing people for throwing mud on a loudspeaker used by someone to convey a message you like. The particular loudspeaker has no more significance than the thousands of others. The speaker just happened to select one from among the millions available to him in the market. The message not the messenger is what is important.

Do Muslims understand what unbelievers feel when they read in the Koran that they are dirty, deaf, dumb and blind and fit only for torture in Allah's hell? Why does the Koran and by association Muslims, insist on their right to the freedom to insult us unbelievers? Should we not feel ticked off?

Dialogue is certainly the way forward in all human affairs. Are Muslims willing to have a dialogue on the call in the Koran to kill infidels, the concept of booty and slaves, and about women's position in society? Do you even consider that a dialogue about Koranic injunctions is possible?

When I read what you wrote above I realized you have not read the Koran, otherwise you would not have written it. Read these little verses: 3:85 If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him; …

And: 61:9 He it is who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that He may make it conqueror of all religion however much idolaters may be averse.

These two verses will gives you the reason why Muslim men are trying to force sharia on the world.
