CORRECTING MansoorReader comment on item: Destroying Sculptures of Muhammad Submitted by another infidel (Australia), Apr 7, 2008 at 20:14 Mansoor You wrote that "Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) struggled all his life to make people understand the uncertainty of life and the tough phase ahead after death " OK, that is probably true - and no doubt he was speaking from his own experience. If I had done what he'd done and lived the way he'd lived - I'd be worried about the reactions of people in this life and about life after death too. I'm sure obsessive-compulsives love it - have to face Mecca five times a day and pray, - have to wash incessantly, - have an attitude to certain things that borders on phobia (dogs, pigs etc) - put PBUH after every mention of the non-idolised Mohammed's name Paranoics can relate to it: " " (your words) People with anger control issues, wife bashers etc can feel assured that their condition remains untreated Homicidal maniacs can act out their homicidal fantasies in violent 'Jihad' with seeming justification and more often than not be even applauded for their behaviours... Narcissists can tell themselves how wonderful they are, all the while looking down their noses at the rest of humanity - smugly believing they are chosen and have some great insight. Sex addicts can have as many wives as they want (are slaves still allowed these days) - and after getting depressed at the lack of real fulfillment in their lives can blow themselves (and others) up - and go on to get their virgins etc. (BTW, what do the women get?) You wrote that most people think t"hat Muslims are insane" - I would tend to agree that many would be diagnosed as insane. ....... is seeing us all the time. He has extremely vigilant system to check us and he has his angels around us recording each and every minor and major action of ours...Just think that you are being closely watched all the timeNow I'm sure it's very easy for you to sit back in your third world culture and pontificate on relgions and cultures which you in reality know very little about first hand and have probably despised since your earliest days (in the madrassa???) . It's also why you and a billion others don't drive Muslim-invented cars, on Muslim-invented tarred roads or watch Muslim-invented TV's or use Muslim-invented computers or other Muslim-invented electronics or make use of Muslim invented medical science or the Muslim-invented Internet. It's an incredible depth of hypocrisy to take all the advantages of 'Infidel' technology - yet sit there and critcise us for developing a society in which creativity and individual development and thionking outside the square are fostered. And not just criticise it - but want to modify it to suit the petty and distorted worldview of Islam You've built yourself a wonderful ivory tower of Islamic beliefs in which you live. You admonish periople for not believing what you believe even to the extent of talking about death and non-physical life. In actual fact - you know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about what happens after you leave this world. You may have sincerely convinced yourself that you do - but in actual fact , when it comes down to it, you DO NOT. To say otherwise is incredibly stupid. Realise that the Creator, who you feel obliged to speak on behalf of , has given other people intelligence and perception and indeed the availablity of of a broad range of experiences which will in many cases exceed the depth and breadth of your own. So you should be just that little bit more humble when putting forward your belief system. Realise you only speak for yourself, not anyone else, and definitely not for God. The drive to find greater meaning in life is hardwired into all human beings. Unfortunately, that drive can be subverted by people and systems which use that energy just to promote and enhance their own survival - FALSE PROPHETS, you could say. Of course there is no telling you that you might JUST be mistaken - you've already convinced yourself you are 100% right - yet still feel the need to convince other people. Why can't you be happy and content like Buddhists for example ? They don't go out of their way to shove their ideas down other people's throats We in the West have given up gave up the scary, warmongering , fire and brimstone deity(ies). We followed a real master and realised that model was a fallacy and that it was not conducive to our development as a society. Spirituality comes to people more often than not through an awakening (often brought about through crisis - and the crisis itself brought about by the effects of unconscious actions. That is what REAL religion is all about - becoming aware - and acting consciously in the present moment. All the great spiritual teachers emphasised this, all stressed the importance of waking up from unconsciousness. All said to find this within yourself 'the kingdom of Heaven is within', 'Know thyself' etc etc. Following this automatically creates a respect for other people and for life itself. It is not about the rules and regulations of an Arabian desert religio-political philosophy, the imaginations of various deluded individuals in the 7th century down through the ages, flying buraks, magic carpets, etc etcUnfortunately you have no idea how deluded you have become now that you have so thoroughly immersed yourself in one particular supremacist belief system. And that is all that Islam is. And it's not even a clever one - it borders more on the ridiculous. The thing about lack of awareness is - you don't know your own condition and never will - until you rise above it and see it clearly for what it is.
