Salah Ali: Jihad and Jiziya are meant to humiliate non-Muslims

Salah Ali, you write,

Jihad is a comprehensive system of war devised by Muhammad to subjugate no-Muslims. You cannot equate the Crusades with Jihad. Jesus never advocated violence to bring people to Christianity. Christians swear by Jesus more than by the violent prophets of the OT. And Jesus said turn the other cheek when slapped on one. That the Christians of old did not follow him cannot be laid on Jesus' head.

Mohammad on the other hand said go slap (rather kill) the non-Muslim for no other reason than his being a non-believer (for this read 9:5, 9:29 and 9:111). He wanted all Jews who fell into a Muslim's hands to be killed and so it was done immediately by a Muslim who heard this command (Read The Life of the Prophet Mohammed, by Ibn Ishaq, Page 369, Oxford University press, Pakistan).

Why did Islam (Muhammad, alias Allah) divide the world into two such antagonistic groups? If you read Muslim history or even look around you today the world of Islam has been a house of bloodshed for 1400 years.

When Islam is without power it uses word and persuasion as it did in Mecca. But when it attains power it uses the sword as a matter of choice to propagate Islam as Mohammed did in Medina.

What if I do not want to pay the jiziya and stay in my religion? Can you deny it will bring the Islamic sword down on my neck? Muslims freely practice their religion in kuffar countries paying only ordinary taxes (zakat). They are never threatened with the kuffar sword to apostasise.

Salah Ali, you have been well and truly had by your madrassa instructors if you think jiziya means privilege. Jiziya means humiliation for the unbelievers just as 9:29 expressly tells Muslims: YUSUFALI: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, …… until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

The jiziya collectors were told by Islamic jurists to humiliate and humble the infidel who came to pay the taxes. In India the jiziya collector was even asked to spit in their mouths.

Al-Zamakhshari, a Mu'tazili author of one of the standard commentaries on the Qur'an, said that "the Jizyah shall be taken from them with belittlement and humiliation. The dhimmi shall come in person, walking not riding. When he pays, he shall stand, while the tax collector sits. The collector shall seize him by the scruff of the neck, shake him, and say "Pay the Jizyah!" and when he pays it he shall be slapped on the nape of the neck."[34]

[Tafsir ibn 'Ajibah. Commentary on Q9:29 . Ahmad ibn Muhammad Ibn 'Ajibah] "The dhimmi is commanded to put his soul, good fortune and desires to death. Above all he should kill the love of life, leadership and honor. [The dhimmi] is to invert the longings of his soul, he is to load it down more heavily than it can bear until it is completely submissive. Thereafter nothing will be unbearable for him. He will be indifferent to subjugation or might. Poverty and wealth will be the same to him; praise and insult will be the same; preventing and yielding will be the same; lost and found will be the same. Then, when all things are the same, it [the soul] will be submissive and yield willingly what it should give."

Sufi saint Ahmad Sirhindi (1564-1624), letter #163 " The honour of Islam lies in insulting kufr and kafirs . One who respects the kafirs dishonours the Muslims… The real purpose of levying jiziya on them is to humiliate them to such an extent that they may not be able to dress well and to live in grandeur. They should constantly remain terrified and trembling. It is intended to hold them under contempt and to uphold the honour and might of Islam." Lal records this translation "and should the collector choose to spit into his mouth, opens the same without hesitation, so that the official may spit into it." Lal further notes that "actual spitting in the mouth of the non-Muslims was not uncommon." Quoted in the same book, page 29: Shafi jurist an-Nawawi: "The infidel who wishes to pay his poll-tax must be treated with disdain by the collector; the collector remains seated and the infidel standing in front of him, his head bowed and his back bent. The infidel personally must place the money on the scales, while the collector holds him by the beard, and strikes him on both cheeks." What a nice religion Muhammad gave you, Salah Ali. Islam finds honour in insulting the kaffir and spitting in his mouth.

You just read above the kind of cleanliness (spitting in a kaffir's mouth to keep a Muslim mouth clean?) and justice Islam provides non-Muslims in the comments of respected Islamic scholars. Just imagine your reaction if Christians want to do the same to Muslims, like spit in Muslim mouths. Replace the words Islam with Christianity, kafirs with Muslims and Muslims with Christians in the rulings of Islamic jurists and see how it feels.

In the Islamic after-life most of the Muslim women are in hell and all non-Muslims are tortured in it for ever. Lovely thought, ain't it Salah Ali?

You are wrong Salah Ali and the Koran is my proof. The Koran says that all non-Muslims live in ignorance and are the worst of creatures. Koran 2:171, 8:22. The vast majority of mankind are infidels which means the majority of us die in ignorance and "beasitality". Only the minority Muslims are real humans entitled to cavort with virgins in heaven for being enlightened.

What you have written seems to be religious philosophy of the highest order. I will need a detailed tasfir of what you stated to understand and comment on it.

The dictionary (Word Web) meaning of providence is:

1. The guardianship and control exercised by a deity

2. A manifestation of God's foresightful care for his creatures

006.125 YUSUFALI: Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe.

Allah plan is to leave some people straying. The providence of Allah, the care of Allah, leads the majority of mankind to disbelief.

010.099 YUSUFALI: If it had been thy Lord's will, they would all have believed,- all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe!

This verse means that it is Allah's will to have disbelievers and naturally asks the prophet why he is trying to do the impossible i.e change the will He has given the disbelievers to disbelieve. Just another fine example of Allah's providence.

32:13YUSUFALI: If We had so willed, We could certainly have brought every soul its true guidance: but the Word from Me will come true, "I will fill Hell with Jinns and men all together."

This verse again tells you that it is Allah's will to have disbelievers so that He can fill hell with men and jinn. Hell would go to waste if He did not will non-Muslims to exist. Allah's providence demands fuel for hell in the form of non-Muslims.

39:36 Is GOD not sufficient for His servant? They frighten you with the IDOLS they set up beside Him. Whomever GOD sends astray, nothing can guide him

Allah is asking Mohammed why he bothers with the non-Muslims. He is the One who has sent them astray. How can they ever be guided to Islam??

Salah Ali, as you can see the Koran proves that the guidance of Allah leads the majority of mankind straight to HELL.

You are trying to deceive your readers. Islam is a very unkind religion to the unbelievers. Does this kindness Islam teaches extend to the kaffirs or non-Muslims? Get a clue from verses like 2:161, 4:52, 4:48, or 4:89. These verses are Koranic proofs that Islam has no clue to what kindness is.
