Hebrew Holy Bible is Truth - Then and Now -ForeverReader comment on item: Niqabs and Burqas - The Veiled Threat Continues Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Oct 20, 2009 at 16:49 Since our repartee some time back, I have continued to follow some of your other observations and exchanges with others in this post, and have come to a cross road of curiosity in your exchange with Lynn. Your remonstration about the faithfulness of the Judaic elements of the people of ancient Israel appears to take a nationalistic approach to the existence of the Israeli people, which, in and of itself, has evidence in the Hebrew Holy Bible that supports a Zionist worldview, of which I hold to as well. But the Biblical record also recites for us those periods where, for the lack of faith and allegiance to Israel's Eternal Sovereign, the national entity is was in hiatus until the fulfillment of Ezekiel 37 and 38. We have already determined that my perspective comes from my faith in Yeshua HaMashiach, and that in spite of the myriad and various attempts to alienate this true Christian's relationship with the approaching Jewish Messiah and His second arrival to Jerusalem, there is a Heavenly mandate to be obedient to Him in His love and to share that love to whom we are directed, and to whom will receive it. We have tilted over this before, respectfully, and until now I have held my quarter before reading this post; yet it compelled me to lend a corollary observation. Now, the 'Jewish sect' that came to be called Christians later (see Josephus Flavius, a Jewish historian who writes of them) were, for the majority part, Jewish. The faith they had for the person then known as the Nazarene (amongst other names) is what is carried through to today. The Chief rulers of their day had them castigated and persecuted for believing in the person of Yeshua, and as a result of that, some thirty years later the Romans were called in to destroy the Temple as prophesied by Yeshua, and enforced the disbandment of the national identity which continued until 1948. Now it is a Biblical imperative, spoken and reiterated by Yeshua, that 'salvation is of the Jews.' That Biblical statement is at once both a reason to respect Judaism for the basis of our common revelation from our Eternal Sovereign, and the object of the diabolical intrigues perpetrated against the Jewish people and nation (even those by many who falsely claimed they were doing 'Christian' works against the Jews, but were in direct violation of the WORD of the LORD, Yeshua HaMashiach). Many who were not of Jewish heritage were 'saved' in Old Testament times, and even as Yeshua was challenged by a non-Jewish woman for His blessing, He granted her the desire of her heart, for her heart was subjugated to Him in His righteousness. So too, we today who claim Him as our LORD and Savior do subjugate our hearts to Him in the same faith that was required and necessary as those early Jewish believers, who, as was ascribed in the ancients texts, given the Greek appellation 'Christian.' As to the situation of whether or not a Christian is supposed to 'convert' a Jewish person, such conversions have happened and were not a contradiction to the WORD of the LORD. In this vein, a 'forced conversion' is against the will of the LORD and the person forced may not have a true conversion of the heart; thereby such is suspect and to be avoided. A true Christian would typically be adverse to this as much as anyone who loves the LORD. But to withhold a witness of who Yeshua HaMashiach is in our lives does go against the teachings of Yeshua, as He commissioned; to Him we must be faithful. It is up to the recipient of the witness as to its value in their lives. The Christian is supposed to be only the messenger. Now, Islam-its true threat unveiled against all for all to see- has made it its business to contravene the WORD of the LORD as written in the Hebrew Holy Bible at every corner, every bazaar, everywhere in the world where it is encountered. They relate their hatred for the Jewish people to their hatred of the Old Testament and its prophetical implications to Israel from the ancient times until today, and the New Testament as it completes the Old Testament, by which WORD Israel is propelled with its capitol of Jerusalem intact into the future Kingdom of Yeshua HaMashiach. This is what the true believer understands to be the truth, by the power of His Holy Spirit, and why a true Christian seeks the best for the children of Almighty G-d. We are, therefore, under the commission and authority of the LORD of Hosts, and it is to Him we are in service in obedience to His love.
