You are a devotee of Zakir Naik. But you have not been paying attention to his Peace TV. Once in a while he quotes a verse from the Koran to show what a sublime book it is. This is what he quotes: "If anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life, it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. Our messengers went to them with clear proofs and revelations, but most of them, after all this, are still transgressing" Surah 5, Verse No. 32. Now take out any Koran translation and read the full untruncated verse to see what the it really says.

Which revelation sent to India?

The question that arises is "which revelation of God has sent to India and whether we can consider the Vedas and the other Hindu Scriptures to be the revelations of God?" There is no text in the Qur'an or Sahih Hadith mentioning the name of the revelation that was sent to India. Since the names of the Vedas or other Hindu scriptures are no where to be found in Qur'an and Sahih Hadith, one cannot say for sure that they were the revelations of God. Zakir Naik: "Even in the Rigveda which is the most sacred scripture of the Hindus, one of the attributes given to God Almighty in Book no 2 Hymn no I verse II, is 'Ila' which if pronounced properly is the same as Allah."

This is the hymn found on the Internet. Where is 'ila'? And is Zakir Naik a scholar of Sanskrit phonetics to proclaim that ila is pronounced Allah? He could at least have referred us to a Sanskrit scholar for this.

Another FAQ which he seems to have removed from the site was one in which he said that questioning the fact that Allah says He created the universe in six days in some verses and in eight days in another is blasphemy. Zakir Naik is a fake Islamic intellectual.

What guarantee is there Muhammad could NOT be broken back to the rear in future by someone else? Or what if a book about which person caused the most killings is written? I am willing to bet Muhammad would be among the honoured first three.

The book you are referring to is a personal evaluation of the author, based on some criteria he used. It is talking about INFLUENCE. Muhammad was the most influential man by the criteria he used. But it does not make the religion he founded the only true one. Or the person who founded the religion a holy person. For that you have to set up a different set of criteria. You will be forced to compare Muhammad with Gautam Buddha, Jesus Christ, Bahaullah, … If you are not squeamish about probing Muhammad's personal life and actions I suggest you read his biography from the original Muslims sources.

You do not need to be an expert to understand Islam and least of all that of an 'expert' like Zakir Naik. His expertise consists of hoodwinking people like you. I showed you above the dishonest way he presents a Koranic verse. Read these verses in which Allah Himself tells you that the Koran is an easy book to understand:

Jehovah only looked at naked women. You know why Allah revealed these verses below. If you do not know, consult Zakir Naik:

033.051 YUSUFALI: Thou mayest defer (the turn of) any of them that thou pleasest, and thou mayest receive any thou pleasest: and there is no blame on thee if thou invite one whose (turn) thou hadst set aside. This were nigher to the cooling of their eyes, the prevention of their grief, and their satisfaction - that of all of them - with that which thou hast to give them: and Allah knows (all) that is in your hearts: and Allah is All-Knowing, Most Forbearing.

Narrated Aisha: I used to look down upon those ladies who had given themselves to Allah's Apostle and I used to say, "Can a lady give herself (to a man)?" But when Allah revealed: "You (O Muhammad) can postpone (the turn of) whom you will of them (your wives), and you may receive any of them whom you will; and there is no blame on you if you invite one whose turn you have set aside (temporarily)." And Allah's command must be fulfilled.

066.003 YUSUFALI: When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and repudiated a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)."
