Dear Prashant,
I am disappointed that you did not express sufficient appreciation of the fact that a Hindu - RISHI SUNAK - was selected as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Do you know that when he took his oath of office he put his hand not on the Bible but on the Bhagavad Gita? It is quite a while since you had to be a member of the Anglican Church to serve in the Government in the UK. And there is nothing in the Hindu religion that prevents a Hindu to be a Subject (= Citizen).
But it is not clear to me that an Islam(ist) will Govern the UK anytime soon - precisely for the reasons you cite.
Notice also that a Prince of England married an African American woman, and that has been accepted by everyone.
And the fact that Rishi immediate family came from South African, does not cancel the fact that his Parents and Grandparents also came to South Africa from South India! Are you forgetting that Mahatma Gandhi also came from South Africa? Are you overlooking the fact that South Africa became a British Colony? So Rishi Sunak is Very British even though he is Hindu by Religion and Indian by Ethnic Roots. And that shows you how wonderful the Brits are. And Rishi Sunak also recognizes that the Capitol of Israel is Jerusalem.
By the way, a wonderful Woman with Indian Roots (Sikh) re[resented the USA in the UN under Trump.
Do I culturally value Hindus and Indians more than you Prashant?
