Introducing Asaduddin Owaisi and moreReader comment on item: Spelling Out Israel Victory Submitted by Prashant (United States), Oct 26, 2022 at 21:37 Dear Dr Pipes, My statement "Sunak's ascendency to the British leadership will give new hopes to the likes of Sadiq Khan and Sajid Javid" in the above message was almost prophetic. It took Indian Muslim politician Asaduddin Owaisi just 24 hours to prove me right (Ref1) Mr Owaisi is an Indian Muslim Politician and a pain in the neck. Mr Owaisi is a pain in the neck because he only knows one side of every coin: the Islamic side. Mr Owaisi makes all statements in the Indian context that, say, Linda Sarsour or Ilhan Omar make in the USA. For example, he spends all his time in telling us Indians that the Indian constitution is not democratic enough or the Indian government and people are not following the constitution well enough. Like all good Muslims, he sees nothing wrong in the Islamic theocracies that exist on planet earth. This is enough of an intro to Owaisi. Let me now return to how Owaisi proved me right. You see, Owaisi noted that Sunak, a Hindu, was selected UK's PM. People like Owaisi always have an Islamic axe to grind. He was so inspired by Sunak's success that he immediately expressed a hope that a Hijabi Muslim woman should one day become the PM of India. Owaisi is incapable of making distinctions. Owaisi forgot to notice and say that, unlike Muslims worldwide, Sunak does not want to take his religion to every door in the world. And, he forgot to acknowledge that Sunak's religion calls no one an infidel. Sunak's religion also does not ask anyone to hate any one (let alone Jews or Christians). With a prayer like "Sarve bhavantu sukhinah, sarve bhavantu niramayah " (let every one be contented and let every one be without any disease; Ref2), if Islam has to find an antonym, it is Hinduism (Reader Robert expressed the same sentiment a few weeks ago). Sunak's ascendency to UK's PM is an accident. He must win a general election to find legitimacy. I do not read much into Sunak's victory but I will still say that Sunak's success does not confirm any Muslim ambition. If Muslims want to draw any lesson from Sunak's success, it must be that they need to broaden their outlook and eradicate all Islamic theocracies from the face of our planet.
