Paradigm Shift in Victim-hoodReader comment on item: Spelling Out Israel Victory Submitted by Robert (United States), Oct 31, 2022 at 11:23 Dear Dr. Daniel Pipes, As I continuously stress, the question I have is: By what means is victory to be achieved? The Palestinian cohort and leadership has continuously relied on Energy and Victim-hood. Votes in the UN General Assembly and the policies against Israel in the UN Human Rights body reflect that anti-Jewish, anti-Zionism, and Antisemitism views and practices. Also, the Energy and Technology sources of Israel have shifted dramatically in Israel favor, on the Moral dimension things remained the same until very recently. Russia under Putin now is starving the world of Grain and Ukraine of Electricity and Water. In Iran we see its Women rise in a Muslim state demanding not only to expose their hair as they wish, but also that the Ayatollah drop dead. And in Yemen, the Without were empowered by Iran with Drone (UMVs) to attack the Muslim UAE. In this context the Israeli-Palestinian conflict resulting in Palestinian "Victim-hood" has caused a Paradigm-Shift. In the Global picture and in the context of Hamas in Gaza and Abbas and his Palestinian Authority, now helplessly unable to stop the killings by the "Lion's Dan" Palestinians, the world is slowly moving away from viewing Israel as the evil culprit. There is another significant factor unfolding (to Israel's benefit) in Europe and the Americas: a shift to the Right and the re-emergence of Nationalism, and in other parts of the world as well. At the same time, there is a chance that Palestinian nationalism may look more artificial based on very recent vintage (since 1917 in reaction to WWI and Zionism). The Palestinian emerged, in history, as merely the Arab Anti-Zionism in Greater Syria of the Ottoman Empire. It is also to be acknowledged that the Apartheid was in fact a practice against Jews in Nazi Europe, the Soviet Union, and the Arab and Muslim world which cause Jews to Settle in the historic, Jewish, Hebrew, Israeli Land. The Bedouin Arabs were drawn in because of economic opportunities the Jews returning to Israel after a 2,000 year exile caused by the Romans shortly after Christ's Crucifixion. So the battle for "Victory" is partly in the realm of "Ideology" - a term I know you like. In this regard it is necessary to rid the world of the notion that the Palestinian is the most worthy subject to be identified as a Victim in the hands of Israel. Perhaps, as Israel is likely to shift further to the Right in the elections next month (November), the Palestinians will suffer even more fore their historic events of shooting themselves in the foot. As Abba Eban observed decades ago, the Palestinians never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. I suspect that there are no more opportunities for this cohort. Or will Gaza alone emerge as the Palestinian failed non-entity? Who will want to open an embassy in it? Qatar? Will Gaza remain on life-support (welfare)? In summary, I ask if there has been a Paradigm-Shift in Victim-hood regarding the state (or lack thereof) of the Palestinian in the context of all the other political Victims, or potential Victims, of the world? And if that is so, how does it affect the Policy (Strategy, Tactics) for an Israeli Victory?
