No need For İslam v. West Clash

It's because of the high birth rate.

Uhhh ---look at the map my friend. There just happens to be MANY Muslim countries (majority ones like KSA and Pakistan, and minority ones like İndia and Spain).

As you know, most Moslems have more than one wife and 2 dozens or more kids.

İ laughed uncontrollably when İ read this. Most Muslims have more than one wife? Where did you read that? Such polygamy practice is only common in Saudi Arabia/Gulf Nations –and the practice has become very obsolete. İ suggest you improve your research skills.

Islam also is growing in the west with the less educated people and criminals who convert to this ideology in prison.

Once again –you cannot substantiate this. Some of the brightest scholars in the West are Muslims –go research how many doctors, surgeons, teachers, engineers, artists, athletes etc. are Muslim. İ challenge you to do so.

As for criminals in prison, İ cannot verify this claim. But İ have no problem with prisoners converting to İslam –as long as they do it for the right reasons, they become spiritual, and promise to change their ways and contribute towards humanity. İ have nothing against this fact.

You seem to be well educated, so please take few minutes and think why US has changed after 9/11/2001. I assure you that there is a valid reason.

911 was an act of war, and a coward act. But first of all, İ want you to find out how many innocent Muslims in both towers and on the street were killed when the planes hit the towers, and when the towers collapsed.

Most importantly, 911 was a terrorist act indeed. But America was supposed to be a land of freedom where all rights are accorded. But now they do phone-tapping, the opened guantanamo bay prison where hundreds are held without trial (many of whom are innocent), and Muslims are living in fear –even American-born ones.

İt does not help that the U.S. illegally invaded İraq and still wont admit that it was a huge blunder (but İraq is not so relevant here).

unfortunately one group pose a national threat and we just start to pay attention to it. Let me give you a simple question, what would your country do if a group of people are trying to harm its citizens? What even worse is that this group is following its holy book instructions.

The Quran does not order Muslims to threaten or harm the interests of Non-Muslims. İ don't know where you got this information. Majority of Muslims in USA are proud to be in America, and would never harm its interests. There are 10 million Muslims in America, so if your claim was true –then there would have been a lot of carnage going on.

İ would be more afraid of the right-wing Americans who lead you into an illegal war –and are the same people who want to turn America into a Christian only nation (when in fact –America by nature is supposed to be secular and tolerant)

It seems the politicians shy away from naming the ideology that wants to eliminate us. The ideology that believes my way or the highway.

Once again –weak argument. You fail to convince me that İslam is against you, your family and/or your countrymen. İ can guarantee you that for every mis-quoted verse or incident you mention, İ will counter it.

Since the beginning of İslam, it has always preached tolerance and compassion for Muslims and non-Muslims. Ask any Muslim that you come across.

You are making to mistake of confusing some idiot un-educated Mullah with the preachings of İslam. Don't listen to the media that would rather show images of bin laden and other whack-jobs –rather than the desperate voices of the majority of Muslims who are eager to explain themselves and their religion in a positive light.

The ideology that is preached every Friday in Mecca, Medina, Burida, Dammam and your hometown, Afeef.

Afeef' isn't my hometown –Manama is.

İslam is preached not just in Saudi Arabia, but in all of the Arab and non-Arab Muslim world. İ am not Saudi though, İ don't know what led you to this quick conclusion.

This group is not ignorant as you implied. Most of them studied Arabic, Quran &Hadith, Islam, Arabs thinking and psychology and came to the conclusion that living peacefully with Islam ideology is impossible.

Who are ‘they'?? Austere wahhabis who haven't even read a book or gone to school? Don't listen to these guys they are idiots. İ don't know which report or TV show you were watching when you heard them say this. But İ suggest that you also read about Christian extemism (the likes of Fred Phelps etc.), Jewish ultra-nationalist extremism (Talmudy ideology) or even Sikh and Hindu extemism (such as the tamil rebels, etc.). Every religion has its fair shair of whack-jobs.

But since İslam is the world's largest and fastest growing one –and since anti-İslamic media stories sell well in the news and in tabloids –your views will be focused on İslam –which is really a religion of PEACE that does not accept any violence.

İslam teaches us that the killing of one is analagous to the killing of ALL humanity.

Unfortunately, it's going to take few presidents after McCain or Obama to get it right.

So what do you want done? Nuke every Muslim country or what? İnvade more countries based on total lies?

Your country's credibility in the world is already totally lost. İ was in London last week for business, and the local people were tearing me a new one just because İ spent 4 years in U.S. college. Saying America is the most hated country on the map is a fair statement. İ was so shocked that the British and other europeans İ came across during my travels –are so Anti-American!

But once again, not relevant to discussion so let's chuck it.

I don't agree. It's clash between the civilized world and followers of ideology, who live in different dimension and time, or at least this is how I perceive it.

There is no need for clash. There is a need for mutual understanding as to why some of the religious fundamentalists want to fuel this clash. They want to fuel this clash so that they can get power and recognition (people like bin laden and other enemies of humanity).

İt has nothing to do with faith. These people are blinded by their hatred. The biggest enemy to İslam is extremism and extremists. They have ruined our reputation in the world –and we want this status-quo to be changed.

İf anything –the West should be helping Muslims by shedding light on the majority of us –rather than wasting time with the ignorant few. İt's the time for dialogue and cultural exchange, not ignorance and racism. İ really hope the views on this website are not commonly held in countries like America.
