Study the Qu'ranReader comment on item: Study the Koran? Submitted by Lisa Michelson (United States), Jan 20, 2004 at 12:33 Hello Mr. Pipes,I agree that reading history books, such the Bernard Lewis books, give a much greater understanding to the Arab/Muslims mind and behavior. However, since the Muslim terrorist claims "Allah hu akbar" and carries/reads the qu'ran before and during his/her attack it is important to understand this text. Being a Jew myself I understand that a text such as the qu'ran will have various interpretations...such as our Tanach. I would very much enjoy reading an interpretation of the qu'ran, if one exists. If you're aware of such a book I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me know. Do you plan on having any lectures or speeches in the Los Angeles area? If yes, I would enjoy attending. Thank you for your time and attention. Lisa Michelson Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
