Study the Koran Art.1461Reader comment on item: Study the Koran? Submitted by S.C.Panda (India), Jan 29, 2004 at 04:54 Dear Prof Pipes,Yes, everyone who has inclination, and time, should read the Koran, Hadith and the biography of Prophet Mohammed to understand what really Islam stands for. From my study of the Koran and Hadith, I have come to the conclusion that Islam has nothing but contempt.. towards every other faith. Islam sanctions killing of non-Muslims, converting them to Islam at the pain of death or enslaving them- all acts of piety. Destroying the places of worship of other faiths and building mosques from the debris are also pious acts. Islam says, the earth is owned by Allah and Muslims are His chosen people. Hence, the earth belongs to the Muslims who find that many areas are owned by non-Muslims branded squatters or usurpers who have to be dispossessed by the instrument called Jihad. I have no doubt in my mind that Islam has and is misleading the humanity for the last 1400 years and continues to so. To be fair to Islam, it is also cruel within for example, killing of Shiekh Mujibur Rahman and his family (except his two daughter Hasina and Rehana who were abroad then) of Bangladesh, Saddam Hussien killing his two sons-in-law, engineering a plane crash killing Zia-ul-Haq of Pakistan and this list will be quite long the latest being the attempts on the life of President Musharraf of Pakistan. Any person of average intelligence can find the answer as to why the Muslims are at loggerheads with the Jews in Israel/Palestine, against the Christians in the former Yugoslavia, Indonesia, Philippines,Armenia, Chechnya, against the Hindus,Buddhists, Sikhs in South Asia . It is for the readers to decide. Regards,Sincerely, S.C.Panda Prof Daniel Pipes, Director, MEF
